My 45 is WORN OUT. And it's a good thing digital copies don't, or it'd be worn out too. I have always loved Soul Limbo and to this day when I hear it I have to listen two, three, four or more times in a row.
One of my favorites from Booker T and the MGs! Used to go to sleep listening to this while in college. Great stuff then as well as today!
God bless Memphis, TN, my hometown. Alway a mess and forever frustrating, yet I love to brag that I’m from here. To quote Lovitz……..”Jealous?”
You can tell that they had a good time playing this song
Uncle Will killin' it on cowbell!
Validates the entire concept of KZread.
Talent never goes outta style
That's what having fun looks like ! Cheers Eddie
I wonder how many times Steve Cropper's been asked to list the five greatest Pakistani off-spinners.

No clue what that meant. As an American, we don't know Cricket. Had to look it up. Delayed laugh.
All-day cricket TV coverage, no commercials.....wonderfull
The undisputed 'best cow bell' song of all time.
This is phenomenal 👏
Love this music back then in the 60s and even better today. So much talent.
Great to see these guys in action.
I still have the 45 of this song on the Stax label from when I was a kid… one of my favorite songs from my childhood. Still great at 55.
And suddenly, from over the hill, there rises a cloud of dust, and the horizon darkens with vast hordes of cricket fans...

Steve Cropper's da man !
Always love to hear this song!
Remarkable performance from an amazing band.
Best use of a cowbell outside the sound of music! If Id known that when I as a kid id have joined the orchestra. and whoever thought theyd hear the cricket theme on an american late night show.
Love this instrumental, happy memories of summer, 1960s Atlantic soul music and lots more.
Beautiful, clean music ! My boyhood days ! Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.
Soul stirring music. More so, since it brings memories of test cricket and Ritchie Benaud - in India aka Rishi (the holy one) Binod (popular Indian name). Thanks a ton !!
What a great band, I have plenty of vinyls of the Bookert T and the MG's. Love them!
Booker T y Los MGs, geniales !....Soul Limbo pieza mágica !....muy Latinoámericana !
Fantastic
this young lady is an artist who brings the joy. I'm crying. fine job on piano at that tempo.
Wow. I never heard the full version of this before. Now it makes a lot more sense.
Loooove Booker T. & The M.G.’s
Wow, just wow! This is so cool! Cheers!
Heard this on the radio the other day, didn't get the title. The search brought me here . Great song.
This is so great!!
BRAVO- OUTSTANDING!!!
OMG I remember this when it was on. Sounds Great! I had a Sony VCR that recorded in Dolby surround sound that cpsy $500 ! that time & this show had the best audio quality on TV. I didn't even know who they were then.
Haven't heard this since I was a kid! TY KZread!
Duck Dunn on the Fender bass!
Greatest instrumental music ever !
2 years later in 1993 i would see Booker T & The MG's live for the 1st time, when they were the backing band for Niel Young's co-headline tour with Pearl Jam. (with Blind Melon as the opening act)

The year before, in 1992, Anton Fig toured with the band as their drummer.
This has got some funk ✌️
love, love, love this...
English Cricket, John Arlott, 1960s/70s. Wunderbar. Will have to store this. 👿☘
Jones,cropper and Dunne.🎸👏👏👏
Paul Shaffer has known Steve and Donald, especially when they formed the backbone of The Blues Brothers.
Just a bunch of very talented guys having a ball!
Will Lee did NOT miss a beat!!:)
You can tell the younger players feel privileged to play alongside booker t

I have always loved there music it was great back in the day and still is today they were a great band to listen to
Still amazing!!!
If this is playing and Jonathan Agnew isn't giving you a match update at about half past ten in the morning, you're doing it wrong.
Now that TIME IS TIGHT!!
It was the theme music for BBC cricket coverage...even when the match didn't include the West Indies!

Classic very funny, those were great days when the BBC had the cricket. This tune just about sums up summer too. If only Booker and the MG's knew what gates they opened with this one.
Soul Limbo, as a cricket fan from England, was a big part in the soundtrack of my youth. As I grew up in the 90's that usually meant punishing defeats. Feeling conflicted
Fabulous Music!
The sound of cricket!!! 😁😁😁😁😁
What fun and what a special thrill that had to be for Paul.

Yes on SNL but not with Booker T. himself. Paul missed out on the original Blues Brothers movie due to performing on Gilda Radner’s broadway show Gilda. Regardless, it was a special thrill to perform with them on Late Night.

Now a famous cricket song around the world.
Those were the days on late night I was watching then...wow
Sound of cricket and summer way back when...........
It’s hard to be sure because the bumper is so short, but I believe that’s “Time Is Tight” they’re playing at the beginning.

"Good morning and welcome to day 3 of the fourth test between England and The West indies live here from Edgebaston. Where England over night find themselves precariously poised at 54-4"
This song rocks oh yeah
The sound of English cricket.
Yeah I’m rocking to the music oh yeah
Cricket would be lost without this anthem
great!!!!!!!
Freaking Awesome!
I'd like to be listening to this while sitting at the outdoor bar at the Holiday Inn in Key Largo....on a nice sunny warm, not hot, day. Panama hat, sipping my second mai tai, Ray Ban's on of course....
Awesome 😄'The Worlds Most Dangerous Band' meets 'The Stax' 'Groove-Section'....
