@@melenalunaa hey there! Like the original comment said, to each their own. You don’t have to like the same book someone else does, and someone else most definitely does not have to like the same book you do, so that comment about “not being able to appreciate good writing” was pretty uncalled for and rude. I don’t solely read fantasy romances, I’ve read plenty of other fiction genres and picked it up because it sounded interesting and I had seen rave reviews about it. For me it was absolutely terrible and I couldn’t wait for it to be over. The lack of punctuation was the cherry on top. I'm a mood reader and they both fit the same reading mood I was in at the same time, so my brain groups them together. Demon King is the first in a 4 book YA fantasy series called Seven Realms, I think is the series name. Dance of Thieves I believe is a spin off of The Kiss of Deception series, so if you haven't read that, definitely do! I loved the series, solid 4 star series for me. I've been meaning to pick up Dance of Thieves, but I haven't been in a YA mood for a while, so I'm hoping to read the duology this year!

@@Kendallsreads I see your point with the glossary, that was hard for me too, especially since I read it in kindle. The only 'wtf?' part for me was when Raeve was kidnapped by those strange mountain men who wanted her to have children. That was off. But it was something I was willing to trade, because I fell in love with it very quickly. The dragons, the magic system, the world itself. When we read about how Elluin's brother's dragon curled up in the sky, and that is also Raeve's favorite moon, that was the first time I started suspecting there was some connection between them, but it still suprised me to find out they are the same. I mean, I could have guessed it, but I didn't. 😄 I'm really looking forward to the next book, I have a feeling more and more people will find out, that princess Kyzari is actually Kaan's daughter. I wonder if Kaan knows.

i really wish you showed some reasoning in your recs. i can't trust that my taste will align with someone who fully endorses maas but not rooney. everyone ive seen reading acotar in person has told me they are only reading it for the smut, and my favorite booktuber talks about how great normal people is at every opportunity. i understand that a simple yes or no is faster and simpler for those who already know and trust your preferences, but just a few bullet points could help other people determine whether a book might be right for us

This is a trend style of video on booktok, where this video was originally posted. I post full in depth reviews there that are too long for KZread shorts.

Reminder that it’s free to be kind! These are MY opinions based on MY reading experience. You don’t have to agree with them, and don’t need to be rude to others either. Reading is subjective and that’s the point of it

@@Kendallsreads who said it's free ? It takes too so much energy to dismiss your own real opnion in favor of pleasing someone else. It costs me my mental health. So I'll say whatever I want. Thank you
