    When ordering your patterns do you get more instructions than just the page with the numbers on it?

    What a great tutorial! Thanks! I think it's explained very well, and very easy to understand. I'm embarrassed for the people leaving rude comments. If they can't understand your tutorial, I don't know if there's a person in the world who could teach to their level. (Sorry, +sol cutta, I guess you're out of luck!)

    Very hard to understand. You verbally explained nicely. Except myself, and many others do not understand the numbers. We are looking at what numbers you're marking, then looking back at the sheet. For example. Where on the pattern does it say to fold the. Middle to 4 and the rest to 7? And then the second fold was the same, but again, we couldn't see where it told you to fold to there. Surely, not every page is folded the exact same way? Thank you for uploading though.

    Thank you Akesa. There are written instructions that are included with the pattern. The video tutorial is an additional tool to help and is not intended as a stand alone tutorial. I hope that helps. Maria x

    Hi loved this so I purchased pattern. Looking at your tutorial I noticed that my pattern does not have shaded areas you are talking about and is not the same as yours. I'm at fold 40 when it says mark 3.25 14.20 10.45 10.70. From here on Marking goes up and down going across the page. eg Fold 50 2.95 14.95 8.50 8.90 9.30 10.00 10.35 11.70 Is this right. I have only ever seen a pattern that starts from lowest mark to highest.

    Hi Adamant, Sorry I haven't replied until now. I think you're looking at the old tutorial. The pattern was updated so no longer has shaded areas. You need to be watching this tutorial: www.lovebookfolding.com/single-post/2016/04/20/Book-Folding-Pattern You don't need to worry about the order of the markings, as long as you fold from the top of the book downwards. The cuts will be in the same place whichever order you do them. I hope that helps but let me know if you're still puzzled. Maria x

    I just need some clarification. Does every page start with the marks at 14 and 8 at the top then folded to 4 to start??? Even after watching the video and looking at the pattern, I'm not 100% clear. Thanks.

    Pages for pattern - pages in your book = spare pages Spare pages / 2 = number of pages to count from the front. Or use my calculator on my website: www.lovebookfolding.com/starting-page-calculator

    But the mark is only at the top (I refer to minute 4:30). You use it to put the ruler vertically and mark the cuts. But I believe you can put the marks anywhere, even at the end of the folded part. What allows to fold back to 7 is the fold at the beginning not the mark you do. Maybe I am missing something.

  • @ReadyToCraftOfficial

    @ReadyToCraftOfficial

    7 жыл бұрын

    That is absolutely correct, you're not missing anything :) It makes it easier for the written instructions to give a reference for the marking. I do point out at around minute 7.10 that you don't actually need to mark at 7cm. x

    some people really aren't good at teaching or describing or demonstrating....with this lady, all three apply...terrible..is there anyone on here who can show us simply...I can basic book fold easy and get good results but still not found anyone who demonstrates cut and fold with simplicity...all make it look complicated and leave out important bits they know after doing many times but for us who beginners leaves us lost, well I talk for myself anyway...that's my experience with instruction vids so far..

    if you have the pattern sitting in front of you, this is extremely easy - just takes a lot of time to finish. She leaves nothing out, it's all measure, fold, cut, fold.
