I love Ragtimes by Scot Joplin, playing Maple Leaf Rag, Entertiner, but last time fall in love abaut Boogie. Can play play right had, as well left very quickly, but can not to mixt it together, any advice... please

Hi Stefan ,could you update Zwingenberger's fantastic "Brush ' n up" . Love the tempo and melody , maybe a little less staccato but still full bass ,just a tiny bit more gentle . I can hear it but can't play it .

Hi! You have to practise every day. The most important thing to play Boogie, is that your left hand runs automatically. Then you can play free with your left and improvise what you want.

@@StefanUlbricht Thank you very much. I come from the classical piano world and find it quite hard to keep both hands separate when the left hand is both complicated and syncopated!! Watching your videos is inspirational, so I will persevere with it. Thanks for replying to me. Stay safe.

Hi Galen, oh that´s not so easy to explain. Mostly I play like I feel. Sure I often use the traditional Ammons figure of the Boogie Woogie Stomp, but what you mean will be teached by my good collegue and friend Chris Conz - here you can find it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWmZj6R8qbfWfdI.html By the way, the accentuation is the main thing. You can make sound the same figure very diffrent. for example with a swing or a straight play. I hope that I could help you. Best regards Stefan

I have a midi file of it, which is quite accurate (because I did it so certainly not perfect). It's a walking bass and you had the 5th, or as many chords as you can in fact lol. If you're interested by the midi file don't hesitate to ask me for.
