Honda timing belts are a bit@$! Couple of things need to be addressed here...never "assume" the cam timming is correct by marks someone else left..it could be off by a little or a lot and either scenario is bad. Timing marks have to be 100% perfect.Always replace the tensioner, they can fail long before a belt . Also Mitsubishi manufactured a lot of OEM timing belts for Japanese cars, they make dishwashers too.

Mitsuboshi is a good Japanese belt. The aisin of timing belts.

Reminds me, i need to do the same thing. Problem is, i have PS and AC to make the job a bitch.

Always change the water pump, tensioner, and front main seal. Crank position sensor should be changed while you are there. It's a bitch, you don't want to do it over correctly the second or third time.

Wiggling left and right while pulling the sprocket or harmonic balance off or on, it's just to keep it moving on the shaft.

Question, in what direction did you loosen the crank pulley, is it the classic left to loosen or does it loosen the other way (right rotation)

Honda D series (and B series) -- unless I'm trippin' -- all spin COUNTER clockwise.

@@Solegna01 Counterclockwise! Left and right are meaningless, counterclockwise as viewed from the head of the bolt or nut. Regular right-hand thread is what the man meant.
