Cork bark field elm raft
Ulmus minor var.
I didn't cut anything today.
The tip, which now has such long leaves, was weak last year.
That's because the roots are on the other side.
By letting it grow, I'm now encouraging rooting in the middle of the raft.
Today I also lowered the former tip of the tree into the substrate.
Now the top shoot is thick enough.
The raft now touches the substrate at 3 points.
