Completely agree. It's a nod to his work to put Ireland on the map but he never bled for his country.

I think he should have won it him and or Geldof. They projected a different image of Irishness a much more Erudite one.

I do my bit for charity. Obviously not on the same scale as Bono. I'm not getting at him but I don't see what he as done for Ireland. I don't even see why he was even on the list for Ireland Greastest.

Although I love Bono's music I don't think he deserves to be voted Ireland's greatest person. He may have done alot for charities in 3rd world countries but what has he done for Ireland?? Not alot compared to Michael Collins. Only for Collins Ireland wouldn't be the country it is today. Bono should first use his fame and fortune to help get Ireland out of the hole it's in then go and help these 3rd world countries. Charity begins at home
