Note: The early 19th century Poussette once and a half, to progress, evolved into a Polka or Swing 1.5 times around the other couple as the Waltz and Polka became popular in the middle of the century and people started dancing more in a close-hold position. The move then became known as Swing & Change.
As you can see in the video the dancers can choose whichever they wish and it all still works.
