Griffin As much as that would be amazing, roles are dictated much more by physical appearance than by voice type or technique in musical theatre than in classical operatic roles where it’s dictated more by the type of voice you have. She’s truly fantastic, but myself being a big singer like her, I don’t see our roles expanding beyond older women, antagonists, and comedic relief because everyone wants the “classic” Disney princess look like Laura has.

John Parker Broadway did? How? :( Fat-shaming is uncool. I know Bonnie sang a song that was majorly self-fatshaming in Maybe this Time "I'll get skinny" so I'm not sure if you meant Bonnie and not Broadway (which was beautifully sung, although the humor was lost on me I still love her. )

It's still amazing to me that Laura Osnes' career started from a random tv competition that got her the part of Sandy on broadway and now she's like this famous star that people are obsessed with

Right Laura did audition! I met her at a breakfast meet and greet, and she mentioned that at the audition, all the girls had to glide around with Heelies in crop tops😂
