There's another way to make this where you cut the bone length wise. Then when you're finished roasting it you dribble a little whiskey down the bone straight into your mouth. The whiskey catches the marrow and mixes together into an incredibly rich concoction. Easily the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.

People think it's weird and usually ignore it when they eat but good marrow is incredible... With just a little bit of the right spices and some salt, eaten piping hot fresh out of the bone, it has a very rich and unique sort of taste. It isn't for everyone but I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it.
