Mark's face when Bonanza starts playing is amazing

Genuinely one of the happiest moments on the show. Mark is a bitingly sarcastic, quick-witted cynic with a razor sharp tongue who wouldn't hesitate to tear apart the pope if he got too cocky. If you step out of line, he'll cut you down and put you back in your place before you even know what happened. He can make anyone look like a fool in 5 seconds flat, and you'd better not start anything with him because he will always come out on top. But the look of surprise and joy on his face when Bonanza started playing was just beautiful. It was like, for a minute, he forgot to be cynical. And when Mark's happy, everybody's happy. If I ever met those sound guys I'd buy them a drink and congratulate them on a job remarkably well done.

They all became happy as kids on Xmas as it started playing lol. Class

Mark starts singing the Bonanza theme then Bill Bailey and Luke Goss flow into a gallop on the spot to go with it.

That's brilliant I love the look on Marks face when it clicks the sound guys found/had it. New presenters of the show are good but you can't beat Marks fast wit and humour in my opinion.

It was the randomness of this show that made is so awesome! Loved it!

This is my single favourite buzzcocks moment. I loved that show

1:24 Marks reaction to when they played the actual song was great hats off to the sound man hopefully mark shook that's persons hand at the end

MArk LA Marr was a host who had control over the show. If you acted a fool he would savagely rip u apart. If you rolled with the punches you would get on with him alright. This was a brilliant moment and all (apart from Preston) rolled with it!

Even Preston cracked a smile towards the end . Thinking maybe this is fun and i shouldnt take myself too seriously ! One can only hope :P !

2021 and watching buzzcocks clips just to see people who never appeared on TV again after being on this.

My favourite episode of NMTB ever. This is also the one where Bill Bailey's dad comes on.

@oORedeemerOo Definitely. Even though it was mostly banter about his appearance, Mark had great chemistry with Bill. I do quite like Simon as the host, but his chemistry with the team captains was minimal at best. Incidentally, Phill recently said in a Guardian interview that he almost left the show during Simon's last series because he was fed up with the way he booked guests for the show solely to take the piss out of them.

Sky have remade it (with Greg Davies as host). Greg Davies is great, but I expect the show will be shite 🙂

@oORedeemerOo bill actually said in one of his standups that he left th show because of simon so even though he got so much abuse from mark (watch mark sorts out bill) he still had more fun

I think because Bill and Mark's banter was always in good fun, they bounced off each other really well, but also Mark wasn't a dick for the sake of being a dick, he was sarcastic and cynical, however he was never meaninglessly cruel without just cause, e.g. if someone bit back he would absolutely go to town on them, Simon Amstell was just a hugely pretentious arsehole and basically got guests on the show just so he could insult them, there wasn't much banter it was just a case of "who will Simon piss off first". Preston for example was on this episode and had a great time, when he went on after Mark left he walked off because Simon was literally just being a condescending twat and ripping into him for no reason.

@@TheTradge Same with Huey Morgan when Rizzlekicks presented the show. He got flak for having a tantrum, but I can see why they pissed him off. It's because they're a pair of bitches.
