I am so glad that Mike was able to find the love and acceptance in Lorne Greene as a surrogate father that he missed with his own father. He also found his big brother in Dan Blocker which was also evident on and off screen.

I think I have read on a bonanza website that from the first moment that Lorene and Michael were in character the entire set would go quiet watching them act, seeing this relationship form as father and son..people were mesmerized..

On The Tonight Show Michael Landon recalled the last time he saw Lorene Greene. He was very ill in the hospital and he said Hi,Pa... just like he did in the show he said he always called Greene, Pa..it's hard to believe that four years apart they would be both gone..

Forever part 2, gets me every time, those tears were real remembering Hoss, you can just tell Lorne and Michael had great affection for each other

These two are what kept me watching the show. Ben and his boy were just magic together. On and off the screen, they were father and son, plain and simple. Little Joe forever

The Greene-Landon relationship was special and it showed on the series.

He was such a great example of how people continue through all the things he’s been through. What a great guy!!!!

This is a great tribute to Michael Landon and Lorne Green. They were such great actors and they were the best, they will forever be loved and missed for the great and wonderful shows they made which really portrayed kindness and love! R.I.P. Michael & Lorne

Thanks for doing this video for us. I love watching Bonanza and I am glad you included some of the episode Lorne and Michael did on Highway to Heaven. I never watched Highway to Heaven when it first aired. I am enjoying watching it now and seeing Michael and Victor French. It is sad to watch Little House knowing so many stars have passed, but all these shows bring some peacefulness for just an hour or so to forget about what is going on in the world today.

+74mumu Thank you. When I first heard that song, way back in the early 80's, I had put together that video in my mind. Technology came to allow me to make it, but Lorne and Michael put the idea in my heart a long, long time ago.

To be honest, I think Lorne Greene was more a father to Michael than his own father was.

They don't make men like them anymore on tv 1970-1973 was my favorite years for Bonanza NBC jumped the gun in Jan. 1973 cancelling Bonanza bad move for NBC

Edgard Agosto - They didnt make them onscreen like that - EVER. David Dortorts vision for this family of men who loved each other was unique to the Cartwrights. And that Joe- Pa relationship exists nowhere else. Never has to this point at least. I don't think anyone in Hollywood has the courage to replicate it.
