good ears's rock speculate all you want about Richie drinking but it’s undeniable who has a better voice now. Not only that rich is a better songwriter and a phenomenal guitar player. Watch “It’s my life” at the rock hall that’s the only thing you need to watch to see who’s voice has held up better.

he never actually lost it...but through the this house is not for sale tour in 2016/2017 he had a hard time singing the old songs. he recovered from that, and worked on his voice!👌🏼

For all the people talking about how the band is nothing without Richie, there's no one crediting what a phenomenal lineup this is. I like Richie quite a bit, but really, this ensemble slaps. They even managed to fill his shoes on the backing vocals, which is an important element that doesn't get enough acknowledgment.
