This was 1 year ago but come on. Everyone has their own look, whoever created us made us that way. We all look different and have different personalities. If everyone looked the same you’d wish you would see different people who don’t look alike.

It is funny watching this now in 2019, knowing that they have been married for 30 years. It is a shame for the music industry and his manager who made him feel that he needed to pretend as if his mariage was only an 'accident' of a drunk night. No wonder that he fired him soon afterwards when he was feeling more self-confident as a young artist. The music industry was that stupid enough to believe that girls would stop listening to his music just because he was not 'available' anymore. This shows that they cared only for the money that he was bringing while the fans cared for his music and not only his good looks. Fans who really appreciated his contributions to the industry sticked to him and his music for almost 40 years now, just like John sticking to his wife and mariage for 30 years. That is why we love him.

Well said. Also why he struggled with his voice for awhile and now somewhat in 2023. His managers just kept pushing him for his looks and singing and wanted the easy $$$$ they were getting from him. I mean cortisone shots daily in the neck/throat Ate a to reduce swelling😢...that is SO awful. Shame on them! Also glad he fired them. Also glad he had dorthea to step in after 2nd world tour. Packed 1 suitcase for them and took off across country on the bike. She saved his mental health and him❤

I have to say, after watching this interview, I was a bit disappointed, he lost something of his "nice guy" image for me. But after reading some of the comments below, maybe he made those comments because of his manager. If I was his wife, I wouldn't have been too impressed. Also, the way he spoke about Vixen - not the girl band, the other band that he thought they were talking about. He was kind of dismissive about them, as if, now that Bon Jovi had made it big, bands like that were nothing. It's as if he forgot that at the beginning, they were that band. Still, I guess he was still young and getting used to fame. In all the other interviews I've seen, he comes across much nicer

It was all a lie. You can see how shy and uncomfortable saying those things. He explained in an interview with Kurt Yoder on how he was feeling and how he got married. Not drunk or a bad day..totally words put in his mouth by his managers, cause they were pissed at him fir going to do it. Look up the interview.

Weren’t they engaged for some time before their wedding… ? It seems like he just said it for marketing reasons. I know he cheated, but I don’t think he ever regretted his wedding.

Wow! This isn't the only interview he has said these things about his marriage. I've heard him in other interviews after they fired Doc McGee talk about his marriage. Having 4 kids together and the life of all the luxury she has had I feel made her turn away from his being unfaithful,which isn't healthy for a marriage. It's a shame, however they do feed thousands of people and have genuinely good souls. She odviously has accepted he is in other woman's bed's. They are 60 now, hopefully he has finally commited to just her day n night everyday.

I know he was young and stupid at this age in this interview but regardless it's just immature to say those things. Why, disrespect your wife by broadcasting it . Blasting it out to the world that you are discreet is not being discreet dude. I feel so bad for his wife now.
