Amen. Justin Vernon is my favorite artist, but I LOVE Taylor, and I’m not ashamed. She’s SO talented, especially lyrically. Of course, this ended up becoming my favorite song on her album immediately! And, like somebody else said - artists appreciate artists. And people who love music don’t have to love all music, but they should respect talent.

They're not silent. You can hear them singing in the background but the recording is so close to the stage that it gets drowned out.

I'm always struck by what a class act Taylor is. When she has visiting acts on her stage it's always all about them and when she is their stage it's never about her.

I love her concerts with a lot of swifties but I love her surprise show ups more. Because nobody is crazily freaking out, they are excited to see a superstar and listen to her sing but they are still in a calm mood which makes the duet more entertaining.

Because this song is an incredible song so it really hits... So many Bon Iver songs give me the feels and the lyrics of this one... Their voices work so well together. I can't help but get a little teary everytime I see this. The colab, Exile, on her album is great too... Buuut her couple colabs with The National are definitely amazing..

I was there that night and what you don’t hear in the video is that the arena went craaaaaaazzzzzyyyy! crazy!!! it was so loud when she came out. An amazing experience

Thanks to all the Bon Iver fans (I’m one of them!) being so kind about Taylor! (I’m a fan of hers, too!) Some people can be such music snobs. I should know. I was one of them in high school and my 20s. What a waste of time! I missed out on such amazing music during that time. I'm so glad to see other Bon Iver fans not following in my footsteps and welcoming a pop artist that many groups' fans would just put down because of the type of music she sings.

This is actually incredible. She took on such a different genre to what she's associated to, she didn't take the lead in it but yet her performance is outstanding and the crowd had so much respect for her 😍

Because of Joe's low voice and how well it fit the song, they decided that it needed to be a duet with someone who has a low register. They asked Bon Iver as they are both big fans of him. Justin Vernon, lead singer of Bon Iver, was inspired by the song and wrote the bridge. The making of a masterpiece. Thanks guys.

Producer of Folklore Aaron Dessner, member of The National, who have collaborated with Justin Vernon for over a decade, and Big Red Machine who Aaron and Justin play in together, brought these two artists together.

I’m sorry but their voices are amazing together. Taylor isn’t a pop or country singer she does it all. Her collaboration with different indie artists shows it.

Wow a special moment. What an amazing “front woman” Taylor is too. She just commands your attention. And that look she gives after singing “insult to injury” at 2:16, like it’s theatrical, which makes her such a great performer. But yeah, Bon Iver is amazing of course in his own right.

I was there for this, the video doesn't quite do justice to the insane amount of noise people made when she came on stage. Was wild.

Thank you SO much for this upload. Your front row seat manages to exclude the excited audience screams which usually drown out Taylor when she sings. Really appreciate it.

Because we had written up to that point and he added that and so when we got the recording back we had no idea what he was going to do. I don't think anybody but Justin Vernon could do this song justice, but Taylor does have a song with Gary Lightbody on her album Red. It's called "The Last Time," and I really enjoy it, but not nearly as much as "exile."
