They made a silly mistake that if they'd actually cared during recipe development they would have caught. You cook a whole turkey to 140 -145 because it is 12+lbs. and when you take it out of the oven there's enough energy in it to get the entire bird up to 160. Cutting up the bird makes it cook faster but also means there is less energy in each piece so there is less carryover. You need to pull the pieces at 150 or so.

  • @xqueenfrostine

@@xqueenfrostineThis is why I wish they had done the recipe development properly. A steak, which should be smaller than any piece of the turkey will rise about 5 degrees while resting. So the 3lb, roughly, pieces you'd be dealing with should rise at least 10. I'd look up a good recipe on cooking turkey pieces to see what they have to say just to be safe.

I have to disagree, and I'm not vegan. I quite like making mashers by cooking the spuds in really good veggie stock (homemade) and then adding EVOO while mashing. They don't taste like non vegan mashers but so what? They're crazy good. Adding fake milks is just disgusting, and almond milk is phenomenally bad for the environment and no one should ever buy it.
