    In North Karnataka junaka is made two types one much drier that is cut into pieces and one batter like consistency. Bombay chutney is totally different it's not made with besan it's actually made with putana powder.

    For people who are wondering why it's called Bombay chutney, its probably a Maharashtrian dish that became popular in South India as a chutney for Puris. So South Indians call it as Bombay chutney.

    Never herd of Bombay chutney. It is nothing but JHUNUKA ಜುಣಕ in Kannada. A favourite in north side of Karnataka eaten with chapathi or jowar roti.

    Hi In Maharashtra its called patila and it tast good with bhakari and u can name it Mumbai patila or besan chutney then that of bombay chutney, coz name of Bombay is change into Mumbai (aamchi Mumbai)❤ its good easy to make when your running late for lunch or dinner yummy in tummy a traditional Mahastrani recipe it's my favourite love it thank you for sharing 😊😀😋😍🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ no offences on religion or cast just proud to be Mumbaikar ❤

    The tempering reminds me more of South India than Bombay... In Bombay this dish is more famous by the name Jhunka or Pithale..

    it is kadhi in punjab and rajasthan, we just add curd or buttermilk instead of lemon juice. nice recipe though

    It's a good combination with poori ,even in dosa...but don't add tomatoes in this...In Andhra, people prefer to eat this in dosa and poori
