Sorry, but '50s cars need whitewalls. That very first '49 Chevy and the pickup nails it. That turquoise '57 Chevy looks like @$$.

The term bomb sorta came out back in the fifties , when the younger crowd who were wanting to buy cars , but couldn’t afford newer cars ! So they bought what ever was out there that they could afford ! With was a lot of times Brocken down cars , that either barely ran or cars that one could work on to get going easily ! And since they barely ran and could blow up if ran to hard , the nickname Bomb arose ! And Chevy was pretty cheep and plentiful , so it became popular ! The term bomb is used for cars from mid fifties and earlier
