I know I'm late but she used maraschino cherries. You can find them at any grocery store- usually on the baking aisle or the ice cream aisle. And you can find cherry juice on the juice or baking aisle.

The only thing you need to do is draw a happy face on that pitcher. I bet that fresh lime juice makes all the difference.
