Apparently the person who wrote it said that he intended Jenny to have hepatitis. But there are people who think he's only saying that because of social push back from the HIV community. Also because in the movie Jenny says "The doctors don't know what it is.", but at that time doctors did know about hepatitis, so that doesn't make sense.

I know that guy from 1 movie. It's one of the best indian movie I've seen. Although i dont really see much of it. The movie is "3 Idiots". It's amazing that movie and this lead guy (Aamir Khan) character in it is awesome. He's like autistic and a genius. Always think outside of the box and he did that throughout the movie. Trust me it's amazing. 3 Idiots Watch it.

The reason we asumed it was hiv was because she said she had a virus and the doctors didn't know what it was and couldn't do anything about it and the timeline matched with the beginning of hiv. Also, men rarely catch hiv from vaginal sex.

@@GauravKumar-ly8ki So you're assuming that they're laughing because they're racist? It's inherently funny because of all the Hollywood remakes that Bollywood has done. They're also genuinely excited to see the film because Forrest Gump is such a beloved American film and so important culturally. Imagine an American recreating a cult Indian film or something else culturally important. Wouldn't your first reaction be to laugh? Remember, laughter can denote real joy and excitement, not just mockery.
