I really appreciate your perspective and your pride in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's work on Heeramandi. He definitely did an amazing job bringing a piece of Lahore’s rich cultural heritage to life on screen. I am a huge fan of him myself and really loved the way he portrayed the story in the series. Just to clarify, in our video, we weren't questioning Bhansali's production at all. We know Heeramandi isn't a strict biopic but a fictional piece inspired by a real place, designed to captivate and entertain. The glorified elements and stunning visuals are what make SLB’s work so unique and appealing. Everyone involved in the project did a fantastic job. Guyz the undertone of the show is the fight against the british, and how tawaifs played a role in the revolution (which i recently researched about. They, the courtesans, were unsung heroes of our freedom from goras) Sadly we would be one strong community had they not played against us and divided us. Bhansali brings this undertone to life and makes us indians also think about the opulence of our mughal rulers.
