Engine model: Briggs & Stratton 400707-1205-01 Serial Code 88011xxx
This classic and collectable 1988 Bolens ST140 has just been serviced, overhauled and re commissioned after being laid up under cover for some time. This video shows some of the restoration story.
There are one or minor quirks, for example a genuine ignition switch was not available so the addition of a run/stop switch has been necessary in order to earth the magneto to stop the engine.
This tractor is fitted with a 14HP Briggs & Stratton 656cc engine and an Eaton 7 hydrostatic torque converter - all working well, and sports a hardly used 2 inch towing ball hitch.
