You missed the very hard to find Cloaking car. Most people who got them lose track of them when they set them aside in the train room. So today only a handful are still around.

I got the DC Comics Kryptonite car that you mentioned and it was very cool (with a green, glowing kryptonite load). I think I am going to buy a few extras. Now that I know about the Dilithium car, I will look for it too.

I am obviously a train and Lionel train lover. I am also a huge Trekkie. When this set came out. I never had any interest. Why would a tv series so futuristic be in an old FT? I guess Star Trek has visited our time line before.In short I love cake and love steak. But don’t want them on my plate together. I have to admit your review made it a little more interesting. My wife is a bigger Trekkie than me. If it gets cheap enough maybe I’ll get one. Loved the review Sean.

If you call any of the big dealers, tell them you know this is overstocked everywhere and ask them to give you a deal! If they are smart, they will reduce their stock.

Lionel produced all of the cars they cataloged. I have them all. I even got my Captain Kirk Car autographed by William Shatner. I did a special First Contact Day Video last April on my channel that showcases all of them including the autographed cars. I just wish we could have gotten a shuttle bay transport caboose before they stopped producing the series. I think if they would have held on until the Picard series was on especially season 3 they might have really taken off. BTW I also did a video on the "hard to find" Cloaking Device Transport Car. Nice review.

Yeah, I got all the cars I wanted. I got super lucky and found a shop in CA that had 2 Dilithium cars! The tribble had the original Federation logo, so that's why I passed on it. Phaser sounds would have been cool!@@MartyE
