I'm watching this from my brother's house where I have been staying while waiting for the power to come back on at my house. He doesn't have power either but has generators and lots of fans!Hurricane Beryl came through on Monday and knocked electricity out to a large area of Houston. I loved watching you create these two pieces. Makes me wish I had some of my art supplies on hand.

I saw how destructive that hurricane has been. They say it is a bad sign to have one that bad so early and it is going to be an extra active season. I pray that it ends up not as bad as they say. That was lucky your brother had the generators!! Glad you guys are ok! 🤗 🤗 🤗

I was so delighted to see you play with the acrylic inks again! Something about watching them spread and merge just soothes me. Loved the pop of red and the smears of gold…really everything but especially those. 😊 I need to go order the sepia ink now. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have a little studio set up in my home that I haven't used in over 3 years and for some reason the more time passed the easier it was to procrastinate. Love these, look like doggie portraits, have missed your you tubes, bought another motel early June and have been going lIke mad ever since with reorganizing, getting everything digital, new www etc, still to unpack suitcases and art supplies and "patiently " waiting for the day to open up a jar of paint, ink etc 😅😅😅😅 slowly getting things on track though 😊😊😊and will be joining in again soon

I love how the gold was the finishing accent that brought both these pieces together, the blending of coll and warm colours worked so well,The pop of te dark pastels works so well too. I love the chinese brushes they just encourage you to use them in more unusual ways and they do create amzing marks and shapes. I think acrylic inks are really underatted as a medium,they have a real vibrancy. I am going to have to oddr the Amsterdam turquoise ink,that's a stiunning colour. Sepia is a colour I always have on and it's such a verstaule colour. It can be hard to not add gold to everything!!! But the gold mica paste has a shimmer and shine like no other gold and always lifts anything it's applied too. (matt) P.s I hve placed my order for the Mungyo soft pastels. I love the Mungo oil pastels, such great quality but at a really affordable price,so pigmented,can see both types of these pastels becoming a staple inmy work for sure.

I just want to get home to my dog, my flower pots, and painting. I’ve decided I’m a happy homebody 😆😳🤣 painting with you, laughing with your lovely, joyful nature, sipping ice tea on my patio. Yup, this is 65 and I’m ok with it.😍
