My kid flips this knife and if the latch isnt holding well just tighten the screw. Seems obvious but my kid was very happy when his latch worked properly again.

I definitely prefer a rounded Edge on my handles because just flipping alone feels more difficult when you have handles that are constantly rubbing and biting if you have a rounded handle it's a lot easier it feels more comfortable in the hand and it's just generally smoother all around to flip with so I always prefer a rounded handle

Red Gaming yeah I think it's kind of random I've heard reports of both sensitive and too tight

I'm happy this is my first ever balisong, and it just came in the mail! I have an issue, though; instead of the handles falling freely in the middle of a trick, they are stiff and stay in the air unless I use a lot of momentum to push them down / up. How do I fix their stiffness? Loosen screws?

Junior Miranda that's kind of two different ballparks the 51 will be about 275 and it's a live blade the Boker on the other hand is a trainer and around fifty bucks think it depends on whether you want to spend the money or if you want a trainer or not

Can you do an update later about if it's lasting as far as durability

The difference with the super handle-heavy 63 is not so big, today's standards' balance point is usually closer to the blade.

I just can't figure out how to tighten the pivots. Seriously, it's so loose that, if the latch wasn't broken, I could lock it open with the latch over one handle insert of in it

Enormous Gamer HC different styles of flipping different preferences Some people prefer more weight towards the back end of the knife some towards the blade they carries the momentum differently while flipping but it is just a reference there is so much more to the balance of a balisong then just the center of gravity

rufus gillespie I'm kind of got the same problem I think most of the money in the design of this knife went to the pivot and Tang area to make it flip as well as it does but the latch I think took I hit try putting a rubber O ring or washer around the end of the latch to hold it closed a bit tighter I will do a video if you think it'll help

It doesn't feel like that the Squiddy is PVC it's smoother then the surface texture on the the G10 they're both relatively slick but the G10 is definitely grippyer then the PVC especially when sweaty or wet

CookieMunster73 depends on how far it spread if you can get it clean from just wiping it down you'll probably be fine but I would definitely remove the pivots and clean out the Tang area the pivot screws and washers are the most important part

If you can wait, try and get a Squid trainer or Shanklesong (but they probably won't be available for awhile). Your other options are clones from Chinese wholesale websites (dhgate, AliExpress) or the trainer in this video.

I think i would have to pre-apply tourniquits on my arms before I could advance to a real blade. Your bandage looks just about right for a blade tip sweeping by. Still, the trainer looks like a maybe.
