Best piece of advice I got during my ojt time other then blocking correctly is time management, block your train correctly and you spend less time doing useless moves. Something I still preach to all the new hires I train.

Another awesome video! Keep up the good work! Question: How do box car, hopper cars, tanker car owners get paid to use the cars. Like, for instance, a TTX, or even BNSF labeled cars can be seen on a UP train, do the owners get paid? Or is it just as huge pool of cars to be used by any rail road? Look forward to more videos!

I don’t feel like I have a good answer at the moment. I’m going to have to research to get an up to date informed answer. Thanks a lot as well!

Every engine is different. Run different, different stresses, tasks and climates. Some have much longer lives than others. But with good maintenance, they should last 70+ years.
