Boise Overview | An informative introduction to Boise, Idaho

Boise is a fascinating city. Boise is one of the most geographically isolated cities in the United States and has been experiencing tremendous growth in recent years. In this vide I briefly cover a Boise's history, population, skyline as well as a few things that make the city unique. Thanks for reviewing my home town! I’m a native here and the skyline is finally getting some height! Rumors are surfacing about a 40 story apartment building downtown, but probably won’t leave the ground, but we also have confirmed sky scrapers, and a few under construction, 15 story Element AC Hotel, which has two hotels in one, an ICCU tower, 13 stories and rises up to ~206 ft. And The Arthur, the tallest building in roof height for the valley, at 290 ft, its roof carved to imitate the peaks of the sawtooth mountains, it’s an ultra modern apartment building, and a 15 story apartment tower for the YMCA redevelopment, Ovation Tower, a 23 story apartment building rising up to ~260 feet and The London, another apartment building with 19 floors rising up to 235 ft, and finally the 18 story ~220 ft. condo tower in garden city, which is a few miles northeast of downtown Boise, which is a weird place for a high rise. Thanks for putting care into this video about this beautiful city, it’s growing fast for sure!

Great edition to your growing collection! So many nice places to find in Boise! I liked the geothermal info on that nice sandstone Capital building, the Pedestrian segment, the ribbon of parks, and the Anne Frank memorial. I can see why Boise is growing. This was a nice second rendition of Boise for your channel. I wonder how Spokane fairs in comparison. Both are nice cities. BTW, when you are ready to make the Houston video, you will have to come visit first. My wife & I can give you a grand architectural tour. Or if that’s not possible I can give you some great facts and a nice map to see the best landmarks & skyscrapers. from David P. in Houston. 🎉 😊 👍

This was a great summary of a jewel of the west. Boise is a fantastic city, with access to some of the greatest whitewater, camping, hiking, one related outdoor adventure. The city is large enough to offer the best of life, yet small enough to avoid the complications of big cities. Sadly, Boise and the surrounding area are one of the fasted growing metro areas in the country. Love City Geek… keep the spotlights coming.

My first visit to Boise was a couple of years ago for a friend's wedding in the mountains of McCall. It's a fantastic little city with good food, good drinks, and friendly people at the time. The temperature was beautiful, and the cost of the food Room board was way cheaper than in many other cities I just visited. It shocked me because it was so affordable compared to where I live in Florida. Consider visiting more in the future. I want to check out wintertime and drive back up to the mountains and ski area to check it out!

Colorado springs Colorado would be good to do an overview of there is a county or city ordinance i don't remember which but buildings can't be built very high because the city doesn't want the view of pikes peak to be blocked. Another city or town to review would be Denver and also coeurd'alene.

@@peligrosoyaventado2654 Definitely not rural. I live in the 18th largest county in the U.S. by area and the largest Idaho county. Our biggest city is 30 miles from me and is the county seat at 3200 population, and you talk about rural? There is a big city in our region with a metro population of 46,000, (that's taking in another nearby state). We have the two largest tributaries to the Snake River plus that river, that, that runs through the deepest canyon in North America. We have 9000+ foot mountains and more wilderness than any county in the state. I currently live 30 air miles from part of the largest wilderness areasin the lower 48, and today, it is wet and will continuing being so for the next week. We have two 4-year college, one being the University of Idaho with WSU 10 miles west. And our region has Idaho's only seaport, the Port of Wilma on the Clearwater/Snake confluence. I used to go to Boise but too many people. Spokane is a little closer but with the same people problem. I can buy anything I need in a metro area of 46,000----Costco, Winco, Walmart, plus, I can buy cannabis cream for my arthritis, in a store a half mile from my region. This is rural. And we have no interstate.

Looks and feels very much like Salt Lake City, Utah. Clean and peaceful asf. What the rest of America used to be and should be. The mountains, oceans, canyons, forests, and deserts - all within a 4-8 hour drive or a 2 hour flight at most. Just hope the woke crowd and homeless, addicts from the usual suspect states don't show up here. And of course, the shoplifters, people who run illegal food trucks, street food stands... Idaho seems like a place where all this would be dealt with an iron fist in a hot minute. Namaste.
