It’s very important to learn this test to make sure the voltage is correct BEFORE starting any fault finding or installing controls.
5+ Volts on the Neutral to earth is a FAIL too many installers are wrongly told it’s OK, the result is motors go to 50% open and classed as “faulty”
Pumps & Fans will not go to 100% speed and classed as “faulty”
The most popular reason is Electricians use the blue neutral wire to carry voltage (which is wrong) and the BOILER will fail.
Another reason is in fault order is 1. Fridge Freezer, 2. Freezer, 3. Fridge,
or 4. Dishwasher motor is faulty
and because it’s a boiler fault MUST be so (wrong)
Do NOT get involved walk away, the Homeowner must find a Part “P" Registered electrician to find and fix neutral to earth is 0.00vAC
not even 1vAC.
