And this is how "Diablo Lord of Terror" was created.

What I found poetic was that the great hero was a blacksmith. Because the flaming demon would seem unassailable to the usual glorious warrior-hero, as their armor would offer no protection. But a blacksmith is used to working by the searing-hot fire of the forge, and is not afraid of it. Soot-stained blacksmith's hands were what was needed to destroy the flaming manifestation of greed. Amazing piece.

There's a second layer, too. You said it yourself, though I don't think you realized it. The blacksmith's hands were soot-stained; Boic knew hard work, and knew it well. Blacksmithing is long, difficult, and sweaty work. They needed someone who knew hard work, sweat, exhaustion, and soot-stained hands to destroy the flaming manifestation of greed.

"Where wealth is meant to serve a need" I agree, that's how it should be. Diamond works well on a stonecutter's blade, and gold makes exceptional electrical wire, as well as atomic radiation shielding. Silver reflects light with nie unmatched proficiency, and should be used to light even the deepest mines, from the top of a mountain tower that reaches past the clouds, so that the sun it reflects is all day long, uninterrupted. Iron Ore has many more uses than ruby gems, and as such, should be valued more. But the most Valuable treasure is within the heart of any honorable Dwarf, or man or elf or orc or goblin, for that matter; any race can forge valuable treasure within their soul, if they are to truly want to.

Ironically most metals that were considered 'valuable' in the past didn't have much practical value until technology developed enough to make use of them in any significant fashion. A good example of this is the history of platinum because it was initially considered to be an impurity of gold by the Spanish (it's name came from the Spanish term for little silver). It was often simply thrown away and there was a heavily enforced law against mixing platinum with gold. Not until much later did people realize that its unique chemical properties made it one of the most valuable metals on the planet for all sorts of applications that wouldn't have existed at the time.

Tolkien took his time on philosophy of his books and was thinking about creating an isolated village of orcs that are not corrupted to the deeps of their souls yet he rejected that idea. Why? Because it absolutely opposes the concept of evil in other books. Orc are by their nature evil creatures not capable of goodness and at best they can stay wild. Incorporating liberal ideology "everyone is good, everyone is equal" into Tolkien books is disgusting and is a sign of no respect, ignoration or appreciation for his work put into analysis of the world.

“I am death and I am gloom, I am everlasting doom” that line goes absolutely hard

I really liked the effect of Boic striking the diamond into the demon's head to banish it, super cool. I'm excited to see what comes next in these dwarven songs. I also hope the Viking plot that started with Strong continues, as I really liked those songs as well. Nai Eru tye mánata.

.> I may or may not have made Hammerdeep a Dwarven city in my DnD Campaign setting, and used the songs as the basis for its history. The youngest Daughter of Boic is currently Queen and her people now reside within the nearby human city of Northgate as refugees, as a dragon like none seen in thousands of years has taken the city as its new home. And for any curious, his youngest daughter is queen because his eldest son died in battle with his elderly father, repelling an Orcish/Goliath raid on dwarven villages in the nearby valleys, and when the crown fell to his middle son he abdicated the throne claiming he was unworthy, and left the city leaving his barely 70 year old sister to have to take the crown as the last Heir. Though she shares the same beliefs as her father on the matter of wealth, so who knows, maybe it was for the best that she was the one to inherit.

I appreciate what you did with the theme of greed throughout. First, the dwarves accidentally summon the demon because of their greed. Then the demon leads to its demise because of its greed "He bound the dwarves with heated chain save one to fetch him gems remained." And then the demon's death is actually caused by a diamond being hammered into its skull.

Anyone else getting a St Lawrence vibe from Boic? Offering his few good works as treasure in the same way that Lawrence offered the poor as 'the church's most precious things'?

I am in the process of combining forty years of story telling and adventures into a codified word. The greatest of the the Dwarvin holds will be Hammerdeep, The line of high kings will be from Boic Bravesoul, a cleric of the forge, and the Forsaken (dark Dwarves) will be the descendants of those corrupted by the deamons imprisonment. Not sure how I will incorporate Dragon shore but I have some ideas.

Remember that (barring continuous intervention by the Ruinous Powers, the story of a dwarf corrupted by enslavement should be one chiefly of either redemption or determination. Evil is not an equal power to Good, not in our world and certainly not in any world inspired by the likes of Tolkien or Clamavdi.

I don't think Boic was actually going to let the demon off that easy, he just needed to get close.

I liked how the Demon and Boic had a short conversation. There's something about incorporating an epic exchange of words between two awesome characters that really draws me in, that's why I love "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" so much.

This is just an amazing piece of art and music. Love the fact, that there is still good music, not only these songs that you can hear in the radio, that tell no stories. Really love this catchy rhythm and the sung Dialoge between Boic and the Demon. It is a full story how all of your songs. The demons voice: Nah, I think it is OK. The rest is just beautiful. Everyone who was a part of this masterpiece can be proud of himself. Really looking forward to the next Dwarven song. My new favorite. Keep up doing songs like this.

I know a lot of people have said they don't care for the effect used for the demons part, but I like it. It gets better each replay. We all know you all have great vocal range and depth, honestly it's uncanny sometimes, but I'm glad to see you experiment a bit, that is what art is about, never stop having fun with it. Anyway great song as per usual. Keep on keeping on.

This songs message and story telling is just as on point as your earlier work. I really love that you are giving my dwarven bard a greater collection to pull from. My only critique is to consider a different effect on the demon's voice the first time it speaks. It really muddles the lyrics for me. Other than that excellent.

I’m imagining this as the song that revived the history of both Boic Bravesouls himself, but also details an order of Dwarvish monks dedicated to the ideals of Boic, that of inner wealth through outer action

I love how after he slams a diamond into the skull Boic is like oi you want more of that? No? Then piss off from my mountain.

When I saw you uploaded something, I knew I was in for something awesome.

Dude was so badass he forges a crown out of the beasts skull while it was still alive.

It is fair indeed to see that my dwarven neighbours are doing well. That feat with the diamond was both valiant and genious.

It's so good...I weep. I don't know why it moves me so... I shall just have to listen to it over and over again until I can sing it myself without falling apart.

Love the song. More inspiration for the lonely mountain I'm building in Minecraft. I need to listen to this over and over until I memorize it

Very much loved this and was so glad to wake up to see this posted. Absolutely amazing, It really makes me feel as if im there witnessing the fight. Also I loved the "Wealth is found inside the soul" here as well as Hammerdeep song. I've been very much starting my day with a little playlists of the dwarven songs.

now time to do what i always do when a new one is released, listen to it on loop for hours until i want to listen to something else

Middle Earth was pretty thoroughly steeped in Catholicism to begin with. The Ainundalie is basically just a new translation of Genesis

@@Loreman72, I'm surprised they went with Quenya instead of Sindarin, since as I understand it, Sindarin is more fully fleshed out and useable

This is truly a beautiful allegory.

I love having these songs about dwarven lore, song really flesh out stories, cultures, and worlds.

I find it very interesting that this song though original touched on the subjects: sin and salvation from it. I really like the subtle connections with Christiananity in this particular song. Over all... GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

Greed has always been the biggest flaw of LOTR dwarves. After all, that is the whole reason why both Smaug and the Balrog killed the dwarves that were in those areas.

WOW! I really enjoyed the different voices for the characters, quite different from your other songs. Most original music channel on youtube, keep up the excellent work.

Demon manifests respect and authority. I love sound effects you used on him are epicness, because he sounds partly human. *An epic song indeed*

I like it. I like it very, very much. There are little gems of great wisdom sprinkled throughout the lyrics to this beautiful song, some that I hope Thorin Oakenshield held within his heart as well, though Tolkien never put them into words for him. Tolkien, too sprinkled gems within his stories. Clamavi de Profundis has learned this well from the master and perfected it within the words of this song.

God, ive listened to this at least 20 times in the last 3 days, its just so great, truly one of the best songs you guys have composed.

I hope that this will reach the creators because it has been a while since this has been uploaded, but... These lyrics, the whole composition with the illustrations, the overall theme the story this song tells. Just the whole thing. This is outstanding talent and skill to a level that we don't see every day. This one, Dragonshore, When the Hammer Falls... I don't know how popular you people are, or how much you make out of this, but you deserve more. It's humbling to anyone to anyone that works with anything creative.
