Tip for ladies who can’t add hair as they go for the loose look: Simply take a crochet hook and pull yr human pieces through the braid and knot it a few times don’t make large crazy knots 💯👌🏾

IF YOU USED SYNTHETIC HAIR, when you start to experience the naps, brush the hair out and you can re-curl it with hot water and perm rods/flexi rods/whatever method (Similar to what happened @ 11:30 ) its obviously gonna be an extra step to re-curl them every other week but thats the price you pay on a budget LOOL!

I use freetress for all my clients it last for 2 months if you put hair mousse on the curly hair every 2 days it will be perfectly fine.. I do it on myself and never have an issue just have to take care of it.

I've been braiding micros and more with synthetic hair for 20 years...great tip I was taught years ago was to use oil sheen or a moisturizer like care free curl (don't drench it) and if the client combs it out daily, and ties hair up it will last!.... same applies to synthetic wefts and wigs!! It works! I made a killing in college doing micros w toyokalon hair cuz we were broke!

Good tutorial.....great advice. I know first hand about the hair not lasting long when using crochet hair at the ends. But I also found it helpful if someone still want to use crochet hair, depending on the curl pattern to just add mousse or Hawaiian silky spray and put the hair in big twist at the ends to preserve the curl pattern and prevent the hair from matting and using a silk bonnet.....

I remember doing this style in H.S. but I did the goddess braids (individuals) because I didn’t have money like that to go to the hair salon every two wks and I loved Moesha lol... The trick to get the boho look was girls would wait till the individuals/braids got old and we would braid or roll up the loose ends and dip them in hot water. After you let the loose ends dry you unravel them and you was left with an wavy/curl hair pattern. We did this as way to freshen up the braids and make them last longer.

You could have put the curly hair in rods and then dipped it! It would have been super curly! Love ya hunny! You’re actually one of my favs as well!

Thanks for the beautiful install and honest opinions 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Do not use freetress hair 😂😂😂😂 even if you want to use synthetic hair use a wavy texture from a good brand. I’ve done both ways and I know those thick synthetic curls on the ends are not the best but sometimes you just can’t convince some clients. You tell them to bring one thing and some bring the cheapest “similar” stuff they find at the beauty supply and expect you to become a magician.......

That’s how you could do it with dipping use little curlers and dip it all together that way it’ll remain curly and the other part of the braid won’t be stiff

if you don’t like the stiffness of the hair, next time just try using a real wet hot towel and go over the top to get the little flyaways and stuff ! i love this tutorial!!! def trying this weekend !!
