You’re absolutely right. But neither me nor the students felt that it was THAT very special. Like one of the students said to the local newspaper after the video went viral (the video has more than 23 million views on different media so far): «We didn’t think it was any special. Because this is just how we have it, at the choir sessions.»

@@Jack54275 I agree, to bring joy to all is always special. That I try to do with my students every week when we gather for singing together, year around. But of course I agree that this moment had that little extra, as you say. 😊
My guess is they didn't have to study the words to this song. I'm betting that 95% of these kids knew all the words by heart. The song came out in 1975 and every generation since then knows this song. 48 years later and Freddie Mercury is still a Rock God.

I was three years old in 1975. This is proof who was the real deal and who wasn't.
These students wasnt even born when this song was released. Yet the song is so beautiful and powerful that it still gets carry on. Freddie would be proud
People tend to forget how powerful they are when they work together. Beautiful
I enjoyed the smiles on their faces during the music. They literally had fun.
Why are people hating on the comments? It's a good performance, and it's not even rehearsed or anything. It was just for fun and giggles.
I'm 59 years old and I loved Queen! I enjoyed the HELL out of that!

Freddie would be so proud 🥲
Amazing this song was released by Queen 48 years ago in my teens and yet my daughter can sing it word for word and I haven't been one to play it.
I am 84 and singing along. I also know every word. Loved Freddy.
All these students were born long after Freddy passed away and are singing a song that is decades older than they are. RESPECT ❤
Thank you KZread algorithm for this. You have restored hope in humanity.
Freddie would be so delighted ❤

Legends live forever 😢
I am so glad the music teacher had as much fun as the students (and maybe more!), because he will be able to instill in them a love of all kinds of music. I grew up hearing everything from big bands, to jazz and blues, the classicals, and rock and roll, and lots of stage and screen songs. Well done, sir! And lucky students, to be able to attend a school with such a great instructor.

Thank you, Sir!
It’s incredible in any setting that students gather in hope and optimism. Having a music mentor lead the student body is pretty incredible. It says much about both the character of the students and the heartfelt playing of the piano man. Well done!
That was the first time I'd seen your school perform that. I'm almost 68 and it's good to see young people singing and reacting like that. Freddie Mercury and the three other members of Queen were, even back then, remarkable and will remain so forever. Thank you for your contribution to their legacy......... Long may it last.
High School days are truly the most enjoyable part of childhood 👍
I love it when great songs pass on from generation to generation. To see the joy in their faces as they sing is amazing.

Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now he's dead, Mama, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away- Mama, ooo, Didn't mean to make you cry- If I'm not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on, carry on, As if nothing really matters- Too late, my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine- Body's aching all the time, Goodby everybody-I've got to go- Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth- Mama, ooo- I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all- I see a little silhouette of a man, Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the Fandango- Thunderbolt and lightning- Very very frightening me- Galileo, Galileo, Galileo, Galileo, Galileo figaro-Magnifico- But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me- He's just a poor boy from a poor family- Spare him his life from this monstrosity- Easy come easy go will you let me go- Bismillah! No-, We will not let you go-let him go- Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go Will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go-let me go No, no, no, no, no, no, no- Mama, mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go- Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me-for me- So you think you can stone me And spit in my eye- So you think you can love me And leave me to die- Oh Baby-Can't do this to me baby- Just gotta get out- Just gotta get right outta here- Nothing really matters, Anyone can see, Nothing really matters-, nothing really matters to Anyway the wind blows...
I was in my late teens when this came out, so blessed to be a teenager with some real great classics like this one. Good to see great music never goes away!
Absolutely uplifting....I reckon Freddie would have loved this...
I've seen Queen live. His performance is incredible! He was born to be a music teacher.
Wow. If any of my music teachers had this talent we’d have all wanted to be musicians instead of what we ended of doing.
Best 5 minutes and 29 seconds that I have spend today
Kudos to the pianist great job!
Very impressed that the kids know all the lyrics!

Dalmain school couldn't get this to with youth version
Well, that was lovely! And it made my day. So nice when young people from a very different generation from myself, can appreciate music that I grew up with.
I’m a high school student in Vietnam myself, graduate this year. I love this piece of Queen myself, but it is really hard to find any kind of this. Many of Vietnamese students won’t know about Queen. It’s beautiful to see these guys, in my ages, gather around and sing along this masterpiece. Hats off!!🎉
These kids will fondly remember this event for the rest of their lives.
A whole other generation enjoying the music of Queen, AWESOME!
Music brings people together and it certainly has here. What a reaction by the students. Fantastic
Thank you for bringing the music of Queen to the younger generation! The talent and vocal range of Freddie Mercury was incredible. He was inspirational to so many people! It would be a shame, almost a crime if his talent and the example he set was lost to future generations!
FREDDY is crying with pride at all of them. Well Done.
international national anthem.... let love spread in this world...
Now there's a school day those students will never forget; and the music teacher too.
Brought tears to my eyes. There is hope
THIS is the power of music!
What a fantastic musician the teacher piano player is, excellent skills engaging the students in performing as well !!
The best music teacher!!
You made Freddie proud, well done! EJ
Young people singing, it takes mind off shit happening in the world today, Bravo !!!
I am a huge Queen fan for all my life (58 now), and I hate Bohemian Rhapsody covers. But this is no cover, this is a passionate singalong by people that just love to sing and love music. I absolutely LOVED it. Goosebumps allover and tears in my eyes. Thank you Rud Senior High School! And now I'm gonna watch it again 🙂
What a great way to kick off a new school year! I will be 80 years old in July, 2024, and heard this song for the first time last year, when my community choir sang it at our Spring concert. (I had a classical background, and didn’t listen to much modern music.). But I went on KZread to find out more about Queen and Freddie Mercury, and found the songs he had co-written for the best opera soprano of her time, Montserrat Caballé, in the album, BARCELONA.

Awesome! Fantastic to see all these youngsters thoroughly enjoying themselves with this iconic anthem.
It's nice to see the youth of today enjoying themselves singing a song from way back in 1975 the year I could of left school or stay on to do higher level school exams. I had all of queens albums before this was released and soon had a day at the opera album to add to my growing queen collection, today I own all queens albums on vinyl and cd, and also still love rock music rather than the mush pumped out by singers today.
These Norwegian kids are singing it in ENGLISH! Amazing! So much fun!

VERY COOL! YOUR SCHOOL ABSOLUTELY ROCKS FOR DOING THIS! NEVER LOSE YOUR LOVE FOR MUSIC! IT'S A SPECIAL GIFT!
That was amazing. The teacher was phenomenal on the piano.
To see the enjoyment of the kids and the teaching staff is so wonderful. Music is a medium that transcends so much.
Freddie's masterpiece. Beautiful ❤
Damn this song is hard to sing and they done so well my deeply respect and i love it when Teachers and classes come together

Amazing!!! I wish I had a music teacher like that in my youth. Just amazing!
the music teacher and his students are performing wonderfully

Gem of a teacher!
what an awesome teacher and group of kids - bravo!
Great music survives the ages!
I doubt many of these kids were even born then, but the genius of Freddie lives on.
I remember when queen release that song and people I had known that didn't like it because was so different to was being played at the time I have always loved it and it is great joy to see and heard kids lead by great teacher to show the enjoyment that this song still brings today
love this!!! so great to see young people enjoying brilliant music!! 🇦🇺🇦🇺 let the music never age and never die!!
Just as Freddie wanted it to be ... "You can make anything with my music but don't make it boring ... ;) ;)
No, that’s the way to bring an entire school population together! So much fun to watch!
This really is first class. Superb on the piano and beautiful voices. Freddie would approve
