Wait, you're trying to tell me the massive KC-135 fleet that was pretty much carrying the entire aerial refueling mission on it's back with the exception of the C-130 and KC-10 is suffering because of the KC-46? How does that make any sense?

Governments designate and call their aircraft however they want. Boeing just builds them. While is it of the 767 airframe but when modified to a customer specs it makes it a completely different aircraft. Example an A is an Attack, C cargo etc etc. manufacturers don’t make these decisions.

for the airforce the letter K = tanker C = Cargo. that's why most tankers are KCs.

And yet they are always broken If it’s boeing, it’s not going

Thats great the workforce is great, thanks. So I was interested in the Pegasus. I know Boeing likes to study birds, but how about boats? My favorite boat is CG-36500. It carried it's crew safely through huge waves without pitch-polling, by diving into the waves to avoid the turbulence, like a Sub Marine on Duty. Can the Pegasus do that if necessary? Some planes can land like ducks. Example: Captain Sully's landing on the Hudson.

@@frankkky7375 The single-engine CG-36500 is a boat that can dive beneath the waves & surf. The 2-engine Airbus A320-214 is a plane that can land on water & float. The LM-7 Aquarius could spin like a Volkswagen Beetle in the sky without a compass & land safely on Home Planet. So what's so special about the Pegasus? Can it multi-task? Sure, the builders are proud they built it, but what if something goes wrong up there? Bird strike, oxygen deprivation, someone ate bad fish, or whatever? Can the plane still bring the passengers & pilots home safely?

@@musiccollectionsaroundthew9477 well actually the kc46 is rates up to around 500 psi or 1000 feet underwater and with the advance hydroelectric suite onboard, it is ablw to produce electricity for multiple days on end. the compressor stage in the engines is also rated at the same depth so can be used as under water propulsion. the kc46 radar is pulse doppler and a sonar in one. this allows the kc 46 to also refuel diesel submarines

@@frankkky7375 Wow, that's interesting, thank you for sharing that. The V-22 Bell Boeing Osprey can refuel subs & sailors at sea, with food or fuel or whatever. They're great at delivering cargo just about anywhere. The best planes only land on water when it's absolutely necessary.
