I am now retired. I was a commercial flight instructor / flight examiner attached to a large pilot training organisation. We trained crew who went on to fly for major airlines all over the globe. I occasionally watch videos similar to this and wonder if the guy or girl at the controls was one of my young hopeful students or flight test candidate, ten or more years ago.

It's unfair to compare as the 787 is a much more modern design. However it does have its drawbacks too. The 787 is so complex and full of software, the 737 is a basic design and I feel like I know how it works, compared to the 787. To fly both are equally fun :) For comfort however, the 787 wins hands down ! So much more space and so quiet :)

  • @Marix498

It seems it was enough runway to stop at V1 speed. Automatic rejected take off brakes are very powerfull... About runway left after VR and while taking off... It doesn't matter, continuing is the only option after VR... V1 speed is calculated according to runway lenght, actual conditions, weather, aircraft configuration etc. It must be possibile to stop the aircraft at V1 everytime.
