So glad I watched this video, I didn’t know what the small black piece was used for. So it’s only used until after you’ve finished using the filtering process. Haha I was way off.
Got one of these recently and I love it. It was cheap too at $15.
I have a moka pot, a French press and this one. I think the pour over is my favorite method of extraction. 🙂

Mine's the least. Too cumbersome for not so delicious results.

It took some doing, but I found one in a big box (and a gooseneck kettle). Great for field use.
Got myself one today. So Excited

What's been your coffee to water ratio?
@chrishellelaniece9175

@@CarlosFriera No coffee, just tea. 1 tbsp tea and spices with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup milk of choice.
Got one today at a Kroger for $10 on clearance. Sipping some Ethiopian Yirgacheffee now.

I hate uuu
I poured water into the coffee grounds and it ran straight through as if there was nothing there. It was not what I expected.
Nice drip coffee maker

I ordered by Bodum 1/1/21-double wall, have bought coffee beans and awaiting my gooseneck kettle and Bodum. Just trying to figure out what my water to coffee ratio will be--just for a couple of cups

Why hot and not boiling?
Love this, but any suggestions for keeping the coffee hot? Mug warmer?

I use an electric candle heater/mug warmer and put a small plate over the top of the cup.

Hi! Not at all. ☺ Both the the glass carafe and stainless steel filter are dishwasher safe.
Hi Bodum! I was wondering if it is safe to make iced pour over in this brewer carafe? Is there a possibility of the glass shattering, or would the coffee grounds dissipate enough heat before reaching any ice at the bottom? I've tried brewing so a few times without any issues, but is it recommended?
