Bodily Symptoms Of Anxiety | THAT ANXIETY SYMPTOM That Won’t Go Away!

Ready To Become More Than Anxiety? theanxietyguy....
Description: Bodily symptoms of anxiety can be debilitating. But health anxiety sufferers many times get stuck on one anxiety symptom which then affects all aspects of their lives.
That one bodily symptom of anxiety begins to cause tremendous fear and doubt within. These emotions make a health anxiety sufferer think that they are physically ill, or may develop a disease when in fact no such thing is the case.
As a former health anxiety sufferer myself I found myself overly focused on the bodily symptom of anxiety daily, and not focused enough on the root causes. This is what this video will mainly be focused on.
The reason for this is that if you take care of the root cause of the bodily symptoms of anxiety the end result/effect will also begin to dissipate. With this dissipation comes a clear mind, a balanced emotional state, and a body that can heal itself.

I pretty much avoided a panic attack the other night but just laying down and “feeling it” like you say to. I told my body that this wasn’t bad or good. It just was a feeling and soon it would pass and I went to sleep. It was a nice victory!

Katrina Kaye yes definitely take some deep breaths, focus on your body starting with your feet. Every time you acknowledge a part of your body and feel it known its not a good feeling it’s not a bad feeling it’s just a feeling. Drink some water or tea, I prefer chamomile. Try some yoga or tai chi qigong. Meditation, mindfulness, journaling & exercise have been my biggest help. Check out the 29 days of the anxiety guy but most importantly know this too shall pass. @@KellysMagicalRealm How are you now? You must have met a physician. In life there are only 2 problems--mind and the body. . To feel better reduce negative thoughts [overthinking]. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations when taking a walk, before sleep, in school, at work, when reading, etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. I’m an anxiety sufferer of 5 years, since I was 17. I used to suffer from agoraphobia, health anxiety, panic attacks 24/7. This was after I gave medication a try. 10 days of anti depressants changed my life. I was trapped in my house for 8 months(2019). I couldn’t be in the shower/bathroom for more than 5 min. I couldn’t go to the kitchen. I basically couldn’t leave my room. After so much exposure work, I’m now 4 months into being agoraphobia free, health anxiety free, but now I just struggle with dizziness and depersonalization. I been working on those two, understanding repressed emotion and many more since exposure work alone isn’t enough.

Hey guys I understand 100% what you guys are going through. The mental & physical pains anxiety brings feels unbearable 😫 Its so hard to believe NOTHING is wrong when you can physically feel symptoms. My anxiety/panic started in March. The swallowing was so bad I felt i could not eat, I didnt eat, lost a massive amount of weight. I dealt with a load of other symptoms but these were the biggest & agoraphobia. Watching the Anxiety Guy & another KZreadr I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shaan Kassam truly help me UNDERSTAND anxiety & i told me abt Claire Weeks & how to END the Anxiety Cycle. Her book is called Help & Healing for your Nerves. It talks about the concept of Acceptance! I feel all your guys pain & wish nothing but the best as we are all on our journey to overcome anxiety

JL pay attention to your breath. Are you breathing shallow or are you perhaps even holding your breath sometimes. This is something we all do naturally under times of stress. That can contribute to nausea and feelings of dizzyness etc. I used to have those particular symptoms for years but they started to subside when I began to practice meditation and focus on my breathing.

Thank you for this video Dennis. I just recently started suffering with health anxiety after the birth of my second child in February. Constant lump in the throat, chest pain, arms will tingle, dizziness. The doctor tried to put me on antidepressants and the pharmacy gave me the wrong dosage. This didn't help. I decided from that point that I wanted a more natural approach and found you. I beginning to learn so much. For instance, you just made a Facebook video regarding how each physical symptom represents something subconsciously... and by the words we use we can determine what is actually bothering us subconsciously. For example, I describe my throat as feeling something stuck in it. I feel stuck. This pandemic, fear of sickness, two children under two by myself, finances, the list goes on. Three days ago I got into poison sumac (did not even know that was a thing) in my backyard and ended up in an urgent care and now on steriods which only increased the stuck feeling along with physical symptoms from the poison. My subconscious has even tried to tell me that my body did not touch the plant and this is all made up... that I am just ill... even though I showed the doctor the plant and received confirmation. I am using your channel heavily. Thank you for your inspiration in overcoming. I am learning so much. I have even been taking notes on paper so I have something to read and reflect on. Please continue to help us. God bless you and your family!

I am a fairly new anxiety sufferer (4 months) and while I've worked thru many of the brutal symptoms, i.e, haven't been to the ER again in 3 months for fear of imminent death, this ONE symptom is holding strong; the lightheaded dizziness. I'll often feel like I'm slanted or softly swirling inside my head. Also depersonalized. This video blew my mind and spoke straight to me. In fact, I just had 2 very good days after having taken this "broader spectrum" approach, doing the right things but suddenly this afternoon my old pal dizziness struck again. COMPLETELY out of the blue, too! Very frustrating. So much so that I was JUST about to engage in a distraction behavior until I heard this words. The analogy of the adult being in charge over the child really held me accountable and I realize that if I stay strong and refrain from engaging in the behavior, I will be gaining power over this monster.

Described within the comments are symptoms that I'd been experiencing since I developed my anxiety disorder! I thought that it was a rare terminal disease since even all the medical scans could not identify the problem. I cannot believe that there are people who experience symptoms such as dizziness, tightness in neck and shoulders, heart palpitations, the sensation of nausea and passing out after eating. I was also a regular coffee drinker until I became ultra-sensitive to caffeine and triggered panic attacks. My psychiatrist had told me that it's all due to anxiety disorder, but I was skeptical. It's until I found this channel and saw in the comments people who are suffering from the exact same symptoms that I do. Sickness and panic attacks after eating made me sound like a hypochondriac to regular doctors...but my psychiatrist had reassured me time and again that it's all caused by my anxiety disorder. And now, I just learned that I have so many fellow warriors who are fighting the same battle. I no longer feel crazy or alone. Finally, I know what I have to deal with.

Health anxiety for most of my life. I was doing so well on a medication and felt virtually cured! Then WHAMMO. a couple days of a strained feeling throat turned into an absolute spiral into madness. Weeks and weeks now of being obsessed with my throat. Lump in throat.. dry throat.. overly aware of every single time I swallow. Then today i felt a click when swallowing. So now I'm obsessively swallowing to check for the clicking sensation. Most times nothing. Feeling despair that I have throat cancer. Then exhausting myself trying to reassure myself. Now waiting to see an ENT but have to wait until MAY!!! it is absolutely devastating to have gone backwards so much after having been feeling so well.

I suffered a lot in the beginning when I was completely unknown about what was going in my body and mind. Once you realize that you are victim to anxiety most of the problems are solved itself. I want to thank @The Anxiety Guy and other fellow youtubers for the realization of my suffering.

Thank you for sharing this video. I am switching from one symptom to the next one. If the symptoms disappear within a few days I can handle it. At the moment I have the focus on a special body area because I read something about this and now I check the whole day in different ways. The problem is you will always find and hear something, but I have not the trust in my body that everything ist normal. This ist so exhausting and so exasperating.

It is incredible how your guidance has made me to partially change my focus from my body symptoms to my mind thoughts in just 3-4 days. This is a huge achievement for myself, Dennis, given that I found myself prior discovering you with the worst physical symptoms that a person probably can experience. But now I can see a light at the end of he tunnel. Last evening I relived (for the first time), one of my trauma experiences. It was very intense and I cried a lot. I can tell you that, during my crying, I felt lots of emotions and a major release. However, I am aware that healing needs more time, so, as you mentioned, I give myself the patience I need. I wish you the best, Dennis. Continue with your great job!

But after keeping the symptoms log, Evey time I feel the symptom, it's either preceding or during times of anxiety. Also, this guy makes me realize I need a new therapist.

It's hard to explain to people about the physical symptoms - the constant buzzing feeling in the body, the chest pains, the palpitation waking up in the morning feeling a sense of dread, the inability to eat properly, the feeling that I will cry at any moment. I would seek validation and not get it. I would go out and be a high functioning depressive, doing all the activities and exercises and meditations. Today I will start the dialogue with my Ms. Anxiety and see what she tells me. Why she's here.

Turn off your phone on the weekends and definitely spend your time with healthy people, even alone (I'm planning to celebrate new year on my own since I dealt with 2 toxic people in 2018 and 2017) I turn my phone off every sunday. This video really hits bulls eye when comparing to my own life and my own anxiety. I've been struggling with severe tremors and physical oddities for 14 months now. When I stopped taking Xanax after 23 years of on and off consumption the physical symptoms really increased. I was 100% convinced I had Parkinson's. Been assessed by neurologist four times now and the conclusion is psychogenic tremors caused by my severe anxiety. I was also diagnosed with complex PTSD by a psychiatrist earlier this year, after about a year of therapy. The weird thing is that I'm still not convinced it's my constant fight or flight mode that cause all the tremors and coordination issues. I still have this thought in the back of my mind that says Parkinsons, MS or similar. The reason is because I'm experiencing the tremors when I do certain movements, like sitting straight up in my office chair my head and left arm starts shaking like mad, my neck tens up big time and my legs tens up extremely. I'm also thinking it could be benzo withdrawal and protracted withdrawal symptoms from all those years taking Xanax in response to panic attacks. In any case the physical response mechanism to anxiety is very strong. I pray for a miracle so I can heal cause this is no life.

You do happen to possess a genuine insight and deep understanding of anxiety/depression and I think particularly helpful for younger folk. I'm in my 50s and have struggled mostly silently for years. It gets much much harder as you age IF through fear/ego you continue to ignore and pretend you're doing just fine ..mainly to yourself, (the human predicament, we just want to Go on), although secretly knowing that way down there in your gut that you're not. What is really lacking between people is Love..like the song, around when I was a child, Bacharach's, "What the world needs now is love, sweet love" ..just to listen to the sentiments in the song, without judgement. Thank you Post Anxiety Man x

Almost 15 years for me Jay. Thing is some people become comfortable with their discomfort and overtime it just becomes a part of what you perceive as your personality/identity. Often times it's also the stigma attached to thinking there's something wrong with me but I must hide it from everyone I know. Which is sad because it just allows the cycle to continue. I'm now almost fully recovered thank God. But there are many people out there living a reduced quality of life that still manage to keep moving forward.

It definitely hasn't been easy, and I was at the point of giving up. It's the same thing as Dennis says when he says you have to get beyond tired of living like that. I just became so annoyed and angry with my anxiety and my symptoms and how I was letting them ruin my life. I came to this channel and it's really helped my recovery. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he is genuine. He isnt just selling you something because having anxiety is popular now. You can tell he has been hell. So, it's nice to relate to someone who has actually recovered. The first thing I started doing was watching videos on the brain and learning how to become the best version of myself. Check out impact theory with tom bileyu. He brings on successful people who also went through hell and are doing incredible things. It really helps when you have a purpose and a drive to get things done, instead of doing nothing and feeling like life is meaningless. I hope this helps you man!
