Pattern Making Basics:
Hello everyone!
here's a new tutorial for Bodice Patterns Alterations.
This is a quick lesson for those who want to learn the correct way to decrease the ease of your patterns.
Alterations are very important in the Pattern Making and Fashion world, it helps us
fix what's wrong with our patterns, toiles, and get the right fit to achieve our goal designs for our bodice.
In this video, I talked a lot about ease and gaping or stresses on the armhole mostly.
Getting the right fit at the armhole area is very important especially if you are on the next step of Basic Pattern Making Foundation which is the Basic Sleeve Block / Sloper.
i hope this video helped you solve your problems with ease and gapings!

Oh yes I have that book! It’s a bit complicated though. But I will try next time! I’ll try to simplify it. The instructions are a bit complicated with that one unlike Helen Joseph. But I heard that the fit is better.

Hi yes! It is also important to know how to alter your own patterns when there’s something wrong in it, or there are gapings on the armhole, etc...

@@LAMODÉLISTE thank you..may I ask..the back gaping..do we need to do it..my bodice is exactly like this
@LAMODÉLISTE

@@shafiahaqilah if you have gaping in the back armhole do the exact way as the front.
what if it is a long bodice kind of a dress, then the shape of the dart is gonna look weird?
