Cool unit!! But I might have ya beat. I bought brand new in '79 a 4125 IH skid steer. Just got married and started dairy farming that year. This was probably IH'S coolest implement yet. It had a 22 hp. Onan and is 36" wide. Both buckets included, tyne bucket and material bucket. Sold all my land and machinery in '98, had open heart surgery. Kept acreage and few small things including skid loader. Just last year we restored it completely. Repowered with 30 hp. Vanguard, full Led light bars front and back, 5000 lb. winch mounted above engine, enclosed cab and added heat, built a 7ft. material bucket for snow, went through hydrostatics etc. new tractor tires, strobe emergency light like your's, and replaced seat. I was offered 20K from a local neighbor but have more than that in it. Bill of sale is still in my desk from 1979 for $3150.00 from local IH dealer. Nice video you had too but thought I should tell my story-----pretty rare little unit!!!! THX. Jim

Do the wings open up/fold out? There are plow setups that do that correct? Not talking about v plows. Hello, there is no dispute on your site, you can also work quickly because the base that you know is clean, you can demolish the well or get between the plates at speed, it feels unpleasant and you won't earn money like that, so a self-builder looks at the video, an upstart to whom you come and he starts to teach you how to work slowly, and also everyone is running around on camera trying not to shoot what security. And in general, super. And did you probably make the bucket yourself?

I may come up with wings for my straight plow that can fold out to widen the plow and then angle in when I need to contain the snow. I know a V plow is a great solution but want to keep my straight blade for now.
@GL291117
5 жыл бұрын
Not on this one. Snow Wolf does make a plow that does that. There are other manufacturers that also make skid steer blades with folding wings.

Look up Snow Wolf Plows and find a dealer. Yes the plow has a trip edge.
Just keep all 4 tires on ground and it will work better and last longer.
Pretty easy looking with 6” of snow. Different story altogether when (often in my area) you wake up to 16”-20”.

Don't wait till there is that much snow if you can't plow it.
Skinny treads, are those 8 inch?
@GL291117
4 ай бұрын
Yes, approximately. Great great traction. Unstoppable in any amount of snow that I experienced. 24”…no problem.
Backing your skidsteer into the garage would be more useful, that way the bucket can push snow from the get go, rather than back dragging it.
@GL291117
8 жыл бұрын
+allblacks420 At the time because of having to get other vehicles out of the shop through that garage door, the 10' plow needed to be facing toward the back of the garage. Lots of back dragging at my shop so it's not really an issue.

skidsteers are not cheep and the hours add up fast. It is tough to say if the skidsteer is the way to go, because skidsteer hours add up and transporting the machine can be very difficult in icy conditions. Going down a snowy hill is crazy shit with any size skidsteer. You better chain up both truck and trailer. and if you don't make it up a hill and start spinning out.. oh shit
