    The pump manufactures 'pulses', so the length must be matched to assure phase coherency (the time it takes for fuel to get to the port). It's the same with exhaust lines too. For you radio/microwave people, think of those lines as, 'wave transmission' lines.

And yep one injector is leaking by faster than the others when I swabbed the fuel rail came out black just like you said it might. So I bought a new remanufactured fuel system. What tips or pitfalls should I be looking out for before I go after this project? I would like to thank you for all the work and effort you put in to these videos you have likely saved me countless head aches and more than a few bucks so thanks again! And I’ll keep watching because I have an old 743B that just won’t quit but she’s getting tired so well done sir keep up the good work.

    What a great, FREE, resource you are! My 743 B is leaking at the #1 location. Can I just disconnect the line to the injector, replace the o-ring, and be good? I know there is a small spring under the threaded connection into the pump, so if I'm careful about it's, replacement will it go back together without issues? Guess I'm asking, do I need to remove the whole pump to stop the leak?

    Great video, thanks for your efforts. I have a 773F (V2203) with BOSS. I had the engine out and replaced all the gaskets and seals. I also pulled the engine harness and repaired several cut and burned wires and removed a pair of wires that were ran from the harness to the ignition switch, which appeared to be installed to jump damaged wires. Now when I turn on the ignition, the fuel shutoff and glow plugs are not getting voltage. I do not have any coolant in it, the brake is not plugged in, and the the steer handles are not installed, would any of these conditions prevent voltage from getting to the fuel shutoff or glow plugs? Do you have any thoughts on what is going on? Problem with the BOSS Module? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

My left-front axle seal is leaking again. Second time in about 4-years. Could the axle bearings be causing accelerated seal wear? Also, my injection pump recently is getting all wet. Was dry before. Do I need to have rebuilt or buy new one, or is it a seal kit? Thx

    I've got a 1997 751 bobcat with a a Peugeot diesel that starts weak after cranking a lot . It only idles and if you move the throttle it doesn't speed up the engine and usually dies . Put a new pick up tube in a few years ago and primed the filter and to the injector pump as well as put in a electric fuel pump which really didn't help much . It idles pretty smooth once it starts wherever the throttle is set and if you raise the boom or move, it usually dies . Acts like it's not getting enough fuel but the electric pump is putting a lot of fuel to the injector pump . Any suggestions on the Peugeot engine ???

    Nice video. That is an easy injector pump install! If you have any tips on the 463 with Kubota D1005 fuel system I’d be interested. I bought a non running unit at auction. Previous owner replaced fuel timing relay and shut off solenoid. Getting fuel to injector pump but no smoke at all when cranking. Just cranks and cranks. Pick up tube intact but I noticed some water in screw in fuel gauge to the tank. Now I wonder if water got into the fuel. I drained the tank and there were bits of white debris and even some ants. I assume the filter would catch some of this? When I drained the fuel/water separator a fair amount of water did come out. I now suspect water got all the way to the injectors and hopefully has not ruined the pump. My plan is replace injectors flush fuel system and then check timing.

    Length of line is the same simply because the injector pump has to displace the same amount of fuel for each cylinder. If they were longer or shorter, pump would have to alter delivery sooner/later and less/more fuel depending on length, thus making the timing and injection pump overly complicated.

    Hi, I have a older 743. Mine every once in a while will just big out and stall even without being under a load. It usually starts back up the fuel plunger on the fuel line usually collapse and I have to open the valve on it and repump or prime it then runs for a while longer. Do you think the injector pump could be going bad? I'm going to clean the fuel tank and the filter in the tank along with fuel filter first but if that does not work I was thinking injector pump?

  • @tetradgroup

    @tetradgroup

    3 жыл бұрын

    I do not believe your problem is with the injection pump. If your primer is sucking flat the problem is in between the primer and the fuel tank. Sounds like you're on the right track starting with fuel supply. Sometimes the old fuel line can collapse from the inside. Check your fuel pickup tube and the 90° feeding that comes out of the top of the tank. Debris can get stuck in that fitting. Those machines also had a shut-off valve between the tank and the primer. Make sure that valve is screwed all the way out. To break and also get stuck in that shut-off valve so I would rave move it and make sure it is free flowing.
