The Repo Man intro theme kinda goes hard, he also gives me Hamburglar vibes

I loved the repo man as a kid. Don't know why. I saw British Bulldog beat him at a house show once. All I remember is repo man skulking around outside the ring and Britsh Bulldog chasing him.

Hamburglar vibes, exactly! I loved Repo Man as a kid, precisely because he was so cheesy. I did GCSE drama at school in the late 90s and one of our tasks was to devise and perform a show for a group of nursery kids and I played the villain, who I heavily based on Repo Man. I really hammed it up and used a lot of his mannerisms, the laugh etc, thinking the kids would get the Hamburglar vibes... nope. I absolutely terrified the lot of them.

I was born in 2000, but my dad and uncle made sure I grew up on a lot of 80s and 90s pop culture, including wrestling. Heenan might just be my favorite wrestling personality of all time. I LOVE the guy. I will happily watch every episode of Prime Time on the Network just for Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon. They are the happiest of happy places in wrestling to me, and I could listen to them talking 24/7.
You can see Vince break out laughing by Bobby's joke.

Miss “The Brain.” I’m one of the biggest Paul Heyman marks there is. I still believe I’d put Bobby Heenan is the greatest wrestling manager of all time. He was so much more than a manager.
It looks like Barry Darsow was having a blast as Repo Man.
@KomradeKrusher

Darsow (just like his Demolition partner Bill Eadie) has always been a true professional any promotion could rely on and a guy who would give his all to make even the worst gimmick work. Sadly, after Krusher Darsow and Demolition Smash, neither WWF nor WCW had any good ideas for him.

The Road Warrior unscrewed a spike to beat Dusty Rhodes in the face with in NWA. It’s actually my first memory of seeing pro rasslin’. I was at my uncle’s when it happened and stood frozen in front of the television until he started screaming at me to “get out of the way!”

This Royal Rumble is probably the best performance of Ric Flair and Bobby Heenans career. You could hear the desperation in Heenans voice throughout the whole Rumble and not forgetting mocking Piper by saying "it's a skirt, not a kilt" and then back tracking saying "it's a kilt, not a skirt" when Piper was teaming up with Flair

The Road Warriors spikes do unscrew from their shoulder pads. Reference the time they unscrewed one from their shoulder pads to stick it in Dusty Rhodes’ eye. This is the famous incident that got Rhodes fired from WCW so he could go to WWF.
The Legion of dooms spikes most certainly detach. Back in the NWA they turned heel on Dusty Rhodes. Animal popped one of them off and carved a hole in Dusty’s head.😮
In Repo Man's defense, he was pretty up there among the cosmos of wacky characters. The jacket with tire treads on it was cool, the weasely voice was pretty damn appropriate.

He did everything right, but there was a mountain to climb to make that gimmick appealing, and I'm not sure anyone could have done it
Heenan was the best. I appreciate him so much more as an adult and seeing how good he was instead of hating him for being the heel manager/commentator.
Jameson is probably what Vince Mcmahon thinks of his fans

There is a shoot interview out there where Road Warrior Animal explains how he made the original shoulder pads in his garage with a drill and i believe the original ones were drilled in from the bottom side but as they started having more sets made for them the newer style spikes unscrew from the pads so they can be replaced.

As an aging punk rocker, I know that most smaller spikes (like you'd find in a spiked collar etc.) are screw on. In fact, I often buy a bunch of spikes and dog collars then customize my own collars/wristbands to sell for people. I'd imagine the bigger spikes work similarly.

The Road Warriors spikes were steel and screwed in place. They unscrewed one to wound Dusty Rhodes’ eye in the NWA.
Heenan could've been the USA Michael Barrymore. Entertaining feisty grannies. On an unrelated note, Heenan had a nice swimming pool
Alfred Hayes was a strange interviewer/commentator, when he commentated or was in a live environment he seemed to struggle with confidence. But when you see him at the end of the Bobby Heenan show being the host he was actually really good and spoke with conviction.

Fascinatingly, Jameson's son was the kid who sang "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" at John Cena before his match with Bray Wyatt at Extreme Rules. Jameson (John DiGiacomo) said that it happened independently of him having done stuff for WWE in the past, it just came about through his son's agent.
Been watching BH shoot interviews. He is just as funny and makes it clear over and over that the business as he knew it was done. He was all about making money and entertainment. Interesting guy.

If anyone could murder Haku, it would be Lord Alfred Hayes, and it would be most graphic delimbing/disemboweling in history since Jack the Ripper. It wouldn't be done maliciously however, rather it would just be to satiate Lord Al's morbid curiosities. There would be a chilling, disconnected, child-like wonder in his eyes, as he slowly disassembled Haku.
They should have had a segment where Flair flips out after drawing #3. Then later he and Heenan present the number they drew to Jack Tunney and it says 30. But its obvious Heennan added a 0 with a sharpie. Then the actual #30 (Warlord) confronts them and they run off scared shitless.

When the Berserka threw Jameson off the roof, and the next segment Jameson is on a strecther reeling in pain, that was the only funny thing to come from the Jameson character.

For whatever reason, I genuinely was a Repo Man fan back when I was a kid (I was born in 85, so I was what, 8 or so?). I find the more recent, mostly-ironic Repo Man fandom (which seems to have been started by Whatculture's Simon Miller) really funny, since I honestly did really like the character as a child. I don't even know quite what it was, I just found him funny I guess. For a child, I seemed to go against the grain and like heels pretty often - Of course, I loved Undertaker and Papa Shango (i was obsessed with halloween back then - no wonder i grew up to be a weirdo goth/punk dude lol), but I also loved the O.G., "blue blood" version of Hunter Hearst Helmsley and would do his weird lil bow/curtsy thing when play wrestling friends lol
