Because he has lost. The past pawn is no match for a king and rook and would be just a matter of time for Bobby to Queen his past pawn. Amazing game from two of the world's best players from that period. Thank you for digging up these great games ❤.

That was an amazing end game. Tal was a great endgame player, but Bobby had grown into a genius end game player.
