Bobby Fischer's Only Strategy is Checkmate!

Ойындар

Bobby Fischer holds nothing back in this attacking game against rival Samuel Reshevsky. Fischer ignores his own king safety and launches his pawns at black's king. The result is a very special attacking game.

Agreed! So nice to see the respect a chess game deserves. This man is the best. No dumb jokes, no silly photos of sumo wrestlers or snow plows and no screaming. God bless this man and his great work!

Its amazing how many of those single moves were both attacking and defending. I guess that's what great players do.

"I would settle for 19th if Fischer played 20th." -Reshevsky The rivalry between Fischer and Reshevsky was real. But Fischer held Reshevsky in high regards. *Both* times Bobby made a top 10 chess players list, he cited Reshevsky as one of them. Only 5 other players were on both of Fischer's lists, the others being Capablanca, Morphy, Spassky, Steinitz and Tal

Alekhine? Now there’s a name from the past. Fierce, single-minded chess obsessive playing without pity. One wonders how Fischer v Alekhine would’ve panned out.

Yes. They actually played a match around this time which Bobby left in dispute with the organisers and the match was drawn.
