Bobby Ball Funeral Blackpool

After a brief intro, I cover the funeral procession for comedian Bobby Ball as it passed in front of Blackpool Tower on Tuesday 17th of November 2020. A large crowd had gathered despite a plea from Bobby's family for people to avoid gathering in large groups during the lockdown, which was currently in force at the time. Council officials were on hand to make sure people abided by social distancing guidelines.

    One winter in St Annes mum was slipping and sliding on ice and she wanted to cross the road, and Bobby left his wife and came over to my mum and helped her across and she said thank,s Bobby and he said “ your all right now cocker” We were born in Oldham and I was born same hospital as Bobby Boundry Park

    Thank you for sharing your story. It warmed my heart. Shows what a good man he was. Your mam must have been so grateful to him and he gave her a lovely memory made me smile when he called her Cocker, that used to tickle me when I was little. Xx

    So many memories as a kid. One of my favourite sketches was the travel shop with Rik Mayall. Another comedy legend gone but will never be forgotten. RIP Bobby.

    Absolute legend. My childhood memories laughing along with my dearly missed parents at Cannon and Ball on TV , they were hilarious. Thanks for the laughs... RIP..

    I went to Waterloo 79-85 and remember Bobby and Tommy opening the fair very well...I shouted "Rock on Tommy" and Bobby said "Hey, thats my line!" and stuck his tongue out at me....lovely to see school xx rest well Bobby xx

    Stan & Ollie, Eric n Ernie, Tommy & Bobby are my 3 favourite double acts of ALL time, i saw Cannon and Ball 14 times over the years and enjoyed each show, R.I.P Bobby Ball.

Ive seen all the greats grace those wonderful theatres in Blackpool wonderful memories i'll treasure forever. These acts have never and will never be replaced we are coming to the end of an era and of REAL COMEDY. R I.P. BOBBY BALL.

    michael jaundrilll Ahh bless you I know how you feel, its a chunk of childhood memory for me, the laughs he gave us though....have you seen the sketch they did on stage The ballad Of Molly Magee? When Bobby kept butting in with lines like- "But Tommy what were she doin dressed in rags with a wheelbarrow we fish in it"!!? 🤣

    Thankyou so much for doing this for many , many people out there for anyone who loved watching cannon & ball. I myself grew up watching them on tv so it brings back many happy memories for me.     I've met lots of TV personalities over the yrs but Bobby really did stay true to his roots and whenever we bumped into him he was always friendly and happy to pose for pic, lovely man, bless you

    My mate is bobbys nephew and he broke his arm playing football bobby turned up to pick him up and came to our class in abut 1982 I recognise him we all went mental shouting rock on tommy RIP BOBBY ✌️

    Thank you for covering this, we would have come up to Blackpool from Northampton if we hadn't been in lockdown to pay our respects. We were lucky enough to see them in their hey day and then again two years ago in Lowther Pavilion, so funny had us in stitches. Lovely epitaph is that everyone is saying what a nice man he was. RIP BOB - thanks again WOTWS

    I saw cannon and ball at Great Yarmouth in 1981 they were absolutely brilliant the timing was spot on,there is no talent like that now its all reality rubbish, RIP Bobby thanks for the laughs.

    I remember meeting Bob and Tommy when I was on holiday one year when they did a show and I gived them some of my sweets and both highed five me and I got their autographs and both said thank u for some sweets they came over to the table I was at and both were lovely and signed the program I got of them 😊 RIP Bobby never will be forgotten

    I left school in 1982 in Salford. I remember when they were at thier peak . It was unmissable TV. Bobby was so funny and so easy to impersonate. We used greet each other saying " rock on Tommy " and pretending we had braces on . God bless Bobby Ball .

    Thank you for showing the procession of the wonderful Bobby Ball if we were not in lock down I would of come up he was my child hood watching him and Tommy was just the best i did cry when i found out he had passed away and how this horrible virus took him like it has so many wonderful people God bless you Bobby and thank you for my wonderful child hood all the laughs you and Tommy gave everyone xxx.

    RIP Bobby Ball. My condolences to his family and friends. I feel it for Tommy Cannon. Losing his professional partner will be hurting him so much right now. In partnerships like that the one left behind really gets depressed but can't really tell anyone about it. I hope that his family realize that he needs support too

    My wife and I stood next to cannon and ball at Bernie Nolans funeral.The undertakers I guess we're box brothers I bought a London taxi off them a few years ago.

    I walked past a house belonging to Box Brothers in the video. The street near the junction is just round the back of the funeral service. They have been there as long as I can remember.

    I would just like to pay a little tribute to Bobby. I met him at the stage door at the Plymouth Pavilions in 1999. I chatted to him and Tommy for quite a while. They were just as natural as they were on stage. So friendly. Bobby was telling me about the house he had moved to in Todmorden just outside Rochdale where I am from. I will never forget that . RIP Bobby Rock On!

    Bobby was originally from Oldham like me. Before he moved to Blackpool. My dad moved to Blackpool in the late 1980s called Dave Rhodes. He passed away in 2002. I came to Blackpool for his funeral, Box Brothers were the funeral directors. Many happier memories of Blackpool, and your videos help to keep them alive, I'm watching from Oldham. Loving all your videos. Keep them coming. Thankyou so much! 😊👍
