Boba Fett Didn't Need to Be in the Mandalorian Season3! But he WILL Be Back!!

#bobafett #themandalorian #themandalorianseason3
The Boba Fett actor (Temuera Morrison) has been displaying dismay towards Boba Fett not being in the Mandalorian season 3. But would it have made sense to have Boba Fett in the Mandalorian. I give my thoughts on the matter and try to play both sides of the fence to see why Boba Fett wasn’t in the Mandalorian Season 3.

I didn't expect to see much of Boba in this season, but I figured if any time would be best, it would be in Episode 6 while Bo and Din head off to recruit and reunite allies. Since he wasn't in that episode, I figured he wasn't going to be showing up unless they did a bit more recruiting in episode 7, which they didn't. I'm definitely glad he didn't just magically show up in the finale!

@@StarWarsFanatic to be fair, as much as I enjoyed Din and Bo teaming up to investigate a 'Scooby-Doo' droid plot, Episode 6 would have been the perfect opportunity for them to split up. With Bo heading off to regain her fleet while Din and Grogu split to go recruit Boba. Storytelling wise, the only reason Din needed to accompany Bo on her journey to 'JB Lizzo Land' was for that Darksaber moment. If that had been resolved in episode 2/3, Din would have had no reason to be with Bo in episode 6. That was one of the reasons why I was so confused as to why Din chose to fly with Bo, rather than pilot his N1. It was then that I realized Boba Fett wasn't happening.

Showing my age or taste, I remember Peter Cushing as Doctor Who more than a vampire hunter.😉 As for what’s going on with Star Wars, there’s simply too much going on that we don’t know about that leads to countless speculation across the infernalnet. I’m just going to sit back and let it play out because there’s nothing any of us can do other than chose to watch or not to watch and I’m going to watch and hope we get proper Star Wars entertainment that’s well written, well acted, and properly paced. Nothing disappoints me more than the opposite of what I just mentioned especially with long drawn out episodes of needless fetch quest side missions to slow the story down so they can stretch this out into multiple seasons.

Been a while, man! I tend to agree with what you’re saying. I like speculating but I don’t take it as “this needs to happen.” I think that’s where a lot of fans get tripped up into hating these shows. I’m just enjoying what we get. The shows with weekly adventures really should be released all at once. Not because they are boring but it tends to mislead the story, and as you said, “slow it down.” The Clone Wars was the only series I binged on first viewing (after like season 3) and I’m glad I waited.

Boba Fett should’ve been in this season, not as a cameo but as a bigger character since back when before Mando came out when people thought mandalorian they thought Boba Fett. Also they should really stop the 8 episode format, it worked great for the other 2 seasons but this season really needed more episodes. Like 9 at least. Boba should’ve been the first one they got then the nite owls, Bo, DIn, and Boba wouldve been a great trio to see.

Heck hav him train his army of biker kids to pilot fighters as his squad. Its not like they haven't used kids in that role before (looks at a new hope).

Fan service is like fast food. It's cheap, easy, and it tastes great at first, but if you have too much, you quickly realize how junky and gross it is. I'm not so certain Din has NO stake in Tatooine, he has obviously spent a decent amount of time there, since he has such a good relationship with the Tuskens. They aren't exactly warm to strangers, and he knew the command to call off their Massiffs. Undoubtedly his career as a bounty hunter brought him to Tatooine frequently, I would love to see some of those adventures at some point.

Dear Mr. Fanatic, First of all, Greetings! I am so happy you're feeling better. Your positive SW's videos are always so relaxing, especially now when I am grieving the loss of my Grandmother. You have a wonderful sense of humor that reminds me of hers. She was more of a Trek and Stargate fan though. Anyway, about Boba. As I've mentioned I was not a fan as a child, anybody who wore Wookiee pelts and was mean to Han was in my bad books. Then as a teen seeing Dark Lord Mace Windu performing public decapitations in front of 10 yr. olds, made me neutral. It wasn't until the Mandalorian that I liked where he was headed. I loved BoBF (yes with Din and Grogu) and I would love another season. Where I disagree with your analysis is with the idea he would ever consider himself a Mandalorian. I didn't even get the impression he considered Jango a Mandalorian. He fought for his armor not because it was Beskar or sacred to the Creed he wanted it back because it was his father's and it made him a tank. I don't see Canon Boba wanting to take the Creed or be head of a revived Clan Fett. I'm okay with that. Why should he be invested in Mandalore? He has less connection to it and the Creed than Ahsoka! I say, let him be involved in the wider arc but he doesn't have to be shoehorned in to The Way. Let him and his Underworld Queen turn the Outer Rim into an Independent kingdom with their own Creed.

First, I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my last grandparent two years ago and it’s been rough. She was a second mother to me. I’m glad I can help with your grieving process. I see what you’re saying about Boba and I mostly agree. The only reason I think it would be different now than pre Sarlacc is because of how he’s changed and how Mandalorian society is changing to be more United. He likely still won’t care, but it’s just fun to think about. He may have also helped with Mandalore because Din helped him with Tatooine. Din risked his life to help Boba when he had no real stake in Tatooine.

@@StarWarsFanatic I'm also sorry for your loss. I didn't watch too much of Clone Wars so I'm not sure if they expanded on how much Jango taught Boba about his culture, but in BoBF he seemed to have a cursory knowledge of how the Creed works, but no investment in it. Who Knows, I might be missing pieces of the puzzle. Maybe a video is an order to teach me.

That I had enough of. Just push him towards legends material. And yes, he has to appear in that movie. If Dave Filoni really does not like Boba Fett...then he should be careful, because I guess most Star Wars fans like Boba a lot. To some, like you and me, he is the favourite Star Wars character. While I would love to see more of Boba Fett (and the Tuskens for that matter) I did not miss him, Ashoka or Luke in Season 3. There were any number of Star Wars Rebels Mandalorians who could have made an appearance or had their fates discussed. I mean what about clan Wren and the rest of Sabine's family? Are there unmarked graves for them? They could have had entire episodes dedicated to finding and bringing in other clans and tribes which, while cool would have meant the season would likely have needed more run time and maybe a score card to keep track. I think the three clans kept things manageable and each had their time in the sun. It was nice to see the Ughnaughts again though. Just my rambling thoughts. Keep up the great and mighty work!

the way i feel about it is there really wasnt enough story told through both bobf or mando s3, they really could have just been one season, then after boba realizes he doesnt want to rule mos espa, itd make sense for him to show up for the mandalore stuff. (i was literally typing this as you said it in the video lmao) That being said, im still trying to edit both seasons into one. obviously cant really add him to the finale of s3, but i made a 7 episode story and it kinda works pretty well, the first few episodes being about boba, then introducing din the same way, but when fennec asks him to work and he says he has something to do first, and i edit in the part where he goes to mandalore to be redeemed, before he comes back to help boba.

Glad to see you're feeling better. Your take on TMS3 is right, there really wasn't a good time or enough time to properly introduce Boba and bring him into the Mandalorian fold. TBofBF2 if they are making that is where this belongs. The prejudices of him being a clone need to be overcame. His place and family history need to be recognized. This would be better served by his story directly interweaving with Bo Katan and the efforts to rebuild Mandalore, several story lines were left unfinished as well. The gangs like the Hutts and Pikes are not finished yet, what happened to the remaining sand people after the slaughter? Cobb will he become a member of clan Fett? I'd like to see The Mandos on Mandalore in need of supplies etc, and Din telling Bo to go see Boba. The story progression would proceed without Din from there. Also what happened to Mandalores civilian population, were they all killed? We know how much the empire liked exploiting captive populations, were captured survivors sent off to be slave labour? Lots of potential here.

    @indiana_holmes

@@aaronjohnson6835 there is no way to get an accurate body count of the tribe in that scene. Believe what you want, but that was meant to be the definite end of Boba's Tusken clan. There was no intention by Filoni, Favreau, or Rodriguez to make viewers question what happened to any remaining Tuskens. Besides, all of the staves of the notable characters were shown and accounted for in that scene, so any possible survivors would not be any that the audience knew well.

Frankly, I’m impartial to Boba Fett’s exclusion from Mandalorian S3. There are ups and downs to either. If Filoni had included a space/air battle between the ships and fighters like in the concept art, an intervention by Boba Fett in his ship would have been fitting. I am a bit disappointed at his portrayal in BoBF. While his change of character makes sense, it doesn’t fit very well with his decision to become a crime lord. Crime lords aren’t exactly the archetype to become heroes to the people, or to rule with such good morals. A better career path for Boba Fett, given his character change, might’ve been vigilantism, sort of a Star Wars Batman.

Having an entire Din episode made no sense. I really didn’t agree with that decision. That should have been S3 first episode. I know directors gave their reasoning in interviews, but it was the wrong choice. If they had spent more time with the plot at hand, it would have been better for it. Perhaps, the episode was there to hide the fact that Boba’s show wasn’t ready. Either way, he deserves more screen time and I hope he gets it.

And I'm not a Legends person. Prequels, Clone Wars and now Mandalorian-verse are what made me like Boba. I liked The Book of Boba Fett, but I view that show differently than most people. Very disappointing what they have done with him so far it’s ok to make him a good guy/ leader but he has been and always will be just as ruthless (while in combat) for example when he first met no katan and the other night owls the on girl gets into conflict with boba. Based on human genetics alone and bobas combat experience I find it ridiculous how he gets tossed onto a table especially when his gauntlet literally has a device that pulls the grapple back in 😂 so corny. Another example is when he’s with mando and they fly directly in the middle of the street when they could easily fly from building to building taking out insurgents. Do better Disney please I’m a big fan.
