I remember tuning in to thousands-of-miles-distant F1 races at 7AM and hearing Bob Varsha's voice sounding like he was talking over the phone, sometimes with my then-baby daughter sitting on my lap. Impossible to not get caught up in the excitement and good humor that Bob brought to racing coverage. Truly one of the best sports broadcasters in television history.

True story. I hope that he can do the calls eventually for the US broadcasts again soon.

I used to LOVE the way Bob introduced every qualifying. "........but to win at Brazil you must first QUALIFY! Qualifying starts NOW!"

Night and day difference between Schumacher and Hamilton when each of them equalled Ayrton Senna's win total. Michael was truly moved by that reality because of the respect he has maintained for him. Lewis has been too busy arrogantly thinking he actually is Ayrton Senna, that he has no room for humility.
