Back in the "80's" during the Brewers haydays, my family and I would sit in the outfield bleacher "cheap seats" with a radio and listen to Uecker announce the game. He always made me laugh with his antics. Thank you Bob. I still enjoy listening to him when he does the Brewers home games now. I'm also from Wisconsin.

I attended a bachelor party dinner at the famous Scottsdale restaurant Don & Charlie's in 2001 Spring training. Halfway through dinner that including fried frog legs, we realized that Euk and his lady were a few table away. Baseball celeb sightings at D&C's were common, but we all loved Euk when we were 70's baseball yoots, long before the movie came out. After several minutes of a dozen 35 year old's giggling we realized that no, we're not going over en masse to yell just a bit outside at him. He noticed our colloquy but seemed unfazed by it since a) he's one of America's most beloved and recognizable spirit animals and b) we left him alone until we were leaving. He then appeared to notice were leaving & allowed us to come over and say hello, which we did quickly/respectfully which he appreciated and graciously returned, even though he was in a place and time where he's universally popular and recognizable. James Hetfield hanging out at CBGB's at 8pm on a weeknight. That's my Bob Euk story.
