Hi Bob, I've been a fan of your 'Still Got You' for years was it recorded in the UK as I can only find it on a UK single?

@@bobsaker1162 Thanks for the reply... Have you released anything similar as, to me, it is very soulful but with attitude, building nicely to a higher tempo chorus? Were there techniques vocal or otherwise that were learned in Muscle Shoals, or would you have experimented with arrangements etc and arrived at a similar release? Thought I'd ask although I am not familiar with your other recordings.

@@Gazoor2004 Long before I was a fan of Sam Cooke and Brooke Benton, I have a discography somewhere on line. My later released vocals have been swing style vocals , but when I was young I tried to emulate Black phrasing (if you're still allowed to say that) I think guys like James Taylor took that all one step further, and made it their own, I generally gave a song a style that I thought it required; as a session -singer I earned my living by being able to sing in different styles

@@bobsaker1162 I see, it makes sense to be versatile as a session singer. Are you still making and releasing new material, for you or others?

Hi, I just discovered your Dad was the singer on my favourite TV ad, for McCain's Beefeater Crispy Grooves, mid 80s, he probably wrote the song too, it's a Cockney knees-up parody, a bit like Nellie The Elephant but as well as enjoying the ad I always thought to myself 'that guy has a great voice, I'd love to know who he was'. Happy Birthday to him!

Gilliansaker….wish you luck with it and hope your dad had a great 80th. What a fabulous voice he has…definitely at the top of the tree in my opinion. Best wishes to him and your family from the U.K. 😘
