Everytime I hear Redemption Song..I cannot help thinking that Bob was actually saying goodbye to the world..all his fans..that he knew that he won't be with us for long..that his end is near..Sooo sad..RIP Bro Marley ❤

Thank you Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey, the words from Redemption Song gave me the insight to complete my PhD thesis. "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds". Those words became the foundation of my thesis. ....(South Africa: 2020)

Marley was all about LOVE and music. Two of the absolute best things there are and therefore I will always love him. Such a legend.

The good ones don't last long, only their spirit does.

The sad and at the same time proud look on his face while singing at 2:40 just breaks my heart.Because Bob knew that he had cancer when he had written redemption song.That's sort of his testament to the world that he is going to leave soon.This song summarizes all he had done in his life just fought and singed for redemption and freedom.What a brilliant human being what a beautiful song rest in peace Robert Nesta Marley ☮☮☮

The sad part is that most of us are still subjected to those facts in day to day life. Me included. Even though its different now and the time has changed, some things still remain. We have to evolve as humans. We are still so primitive at some aspects. It starts with a bigger goal then yourself or myself ;') Slavery from the old days cant be forgotten. But i dont feel responsible for what my Ancesters did. Allthough i feel emphaty for each slave story i come across. If i lived in those times i would probably be a racist. In a way "You are what your parents teach you to be".

Hello everyone from Russia 2024. Nostalgia overwhelmed me after a trip to Thailand and visiting the dream island of Phi-Phi Leh. I watched the movie “The Beach” years later, remembered my favorite songs again and decided to dive a little into the history of the creation of this song - it turns out there is so much in it and it is Bob’s last. I think part of him knew his whole life he had to spread this message he had within. Something compels someone to play through everything, pain, joy, struggle, illness, love. As he said, “these songs of freedom are all I ever had.” I think he knew his message had spread and his music would always live.
