DLS was loaaadddeeeeddddd during the second half of The Streak.

point is, they win against the teams they play. Stop downplaying what they've accomplished.

in a 35 year span their record is 413-26-2 .... every two years they have different kids comin in and leaving... its not dls fault before 2001 high school football teams never traveled ... a matter a fact the dls vs long beach poly game was really the first huge game to be on regional tv and open the doors to what u see now with the traveling and tv coverage..... this movie is not an accident .. ..they mess it up ... dls beat poly during the streak not after the streak .. wow !!!!

what are you talking about we're 2-3 against so cal teams? we've kicked mater dei's ass every time we played then even with matt leinart. we also beat mission viejo twice. and if you havent noticed, theres different people on the team each year, its called graduating, so some teams arent as good as the previous years.

actually quite a few of those games were very close, but de la salle was able to pull it off

My take on De La Salle and the streak. Great team, weak conference. In So Cal it is almost impossible to go undefeated in ONE season let alone 150 + games. Imagine De La Salle, playing Servite, Lutheran, Mater Dai, Centenial, Mission Viejo (who they are 2 - 3 versus), Edison and Santa Margerita in one season. Last year De La Salle was undefeated until they played Canyon High school in the State final, who lost 2 games.

Terrible take. De la salle during the streak was unstoppable. Doesn’t matter if it’s a “weak” conference. Literally winning 151 games in a row is insane. Give them they flowers loved 1

@@kjgardnerjr6614 im right, a guy below wrote 7 years ago that De La Salle was 10-4 after the streak against teams from So Cal. My cousin played for DLS during the streak. A team may beat teams all over the country but if their conference is tough, they aren’t going undefeated at least not for 151 games. They won so many games in a row they literally had to go out of their city and out of the state to find competition. Im not saying they weren’t tough or coached up amazing. Winning 151 games straight is amazing no matter who you’re playing but if your conference is tough, guys aren’t sitting out in the second half cuz of blowouts! Its just my opinion brah

to jimmy bridges ..... those teams you mention dls is 10-4 vs them ... over all they are 21-5 vs very good los angeles teams ....and most of the games were on the road

another thing about DLS is that they are still able to make their CIF playoffs when they have a record of 4 wins 3 losses and 2 ties, there is no way any team would even be considered for a SoCal CIF with that record

hey im not saying that de la salle doesn't have a great program, because they do and im nnot saying that their streak isnt great, because that streak is amazing no matter what competition they play, im just saying that they would look average next to great SOCAL teams

update jimmy bridges .. those so cal teams you mention the Spartans are 11-3 vs them not 2-3

Can we get an update now? His point is the schedules down south are tough week in and week out and all the way through the playoffs. De La Salle has the luxury of only having to prepare for one or two difficult opponents all year.... the rest of the games are over before they begin.

i agree with jdbowls300 de la salle plays a weak schedule, they may be able to beat some decent socal teams once and awhile but they wouldnt be able to handle playing top notch southern sections team week in week out

@FlatulenceFox Doesnt matter. in state or out of state. Bellevue still has to go through the destruction that Trinity will do to it. I think this would be worse for them.They have to go through that devastation in front of their own fans. This out of state game is only gonna show what we in Texas get to enjoy watching all the time. It is a shame that its not at Cowboy Stadium. This blowout could have been easily seen by over 50,000 instead of just 10,000.

@FlatulenceFox defense against a squad from Texas. Texas has so much depth in the state that Texas top 50 would match up with any other states Top 5. I tip my hat for what they have done in Washington and against the California Squads. But, they would get eaten up playing in Texas.

When was the last time another team won De La Salle's conference?......exactly. My cousin went to De la Salle and never lost a game. If you brought that talent down here every week you would not win 155 games in a row. To much talent in So Cal. You actually have a winning record (6-3) against So Cal teams but you're not undefeated, 9 games played 3 losses. That's my point.

@FlatulenceFox Out of all the High School Bad Asses in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex .Bellevue chose the biggest Bad Ass on the DFW block. Euless Trinity. Bellevue has a nice little team that does very well in Washington. And i do salute the guts it took to call out Trinity.But, they are too small and Trinity will squash that offense of theirs.They havent seen the size or team speed that Trinity possesses. The all star games are just a comparison of talent... not high school teams. I've seen the Texas teams and to my eye the top 10 Texas teams are CLEARLY a stronger group of teams than the top 10 Cali teams... even top 5 vs top 5. Sure De La Salle is excellent but that is just one team. Btw many of the recent Texas state championship games are available in full on KZread.

Beat them in very close games, De La Salle isn't invincible against SoCal. DLS looks even against teams from Washington (Bellevue blow out). The first two years they played Mission Viejo they lost. Canyon played great beat them 27-13 a team that was criticized for having TWO losses, Centennial torched DLS deffense in the second half, but DLS was still ablevto squeak by (though that penalty on the extra point was stupid. DLS was bearly able to beat Centennial when many people say they would have

@FlatulenceFox They wouldnt stand a chance at that kind of streak in Texas.With the depth of quality that Texas has to offer.Not a chance. They are very lucky to play in California where they do not have near the quality of competition.In California , they are considered great.But in Texas,lol, not a chance. Now, Washington Bellevue is gonna get slammed by Euless Trinity ,out of Dallas...LOL....in their own home stadium.

@FlatulenceFox No need to leave the state with all the quality and depth of teams that Texas has to offer. Why downgrade and go out of state when you already have everything that Texas has to offer. Everyone complains about Texas. Everyone compares their best to Texas. Even Dallas Jackson said that Texas Elite Teams are the only ones in the country that Does Not have to leave the State to have a shot at the Mythical National Championship. @FlatulenceFox Katy squashed their cutesy Wing T. Trinity is even better than Katy. The Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex has the best HS Football in the country. Anything a small little squad from Washington could throw at Trinity. They were destroying in Junior High. Football in Texas has entirely different meanings than anywhere else in the country.
