World has become Soft ...
My daughter’s Mn women’s team was at Illinois. I went there to see her off before the game. Turns out the Indiana team was at the same hotel. I saw Coach Knight in the lobby as the team was leaving. I said hello Coach Knight, good luck. He acknowledged me and said thank you. He was a big man. Tall. I like him!
he's right
He was a winning coach mainly because he always had better players, but he was an arrogant a$$hole. Case in point was he stood and watched freshman Larry Bird walk away from Indiana and he was proud of himself that he never tried to stop him. Probably cost him 3 national championships.

One NBA All Star. He didn’t have anywhere near the best players.

thats kind of a silly thing to say, he was for sure at disadvantage in recruiting, very few players became anyone in nba , like 2 ...
Dude shows no respect but thinks he deserves it.

The man died November 1....maybe inform yourself before looking like a jackass disparaging the dead.
Bully got what he deserved. Should have been fired the moment he put his hands on a player.
Bobby, we all know that and we agree 100% but now let it go, you will show you as one of the greatest coaches of all time! Just don’t mess it up let it go😮🎉

He didn't tell you what actually happened. Meaning assault. And no, real people don't agree with him.

Knight left out the fact that he put hands 🙌 on the student. It wasn’t the first time he’d put hands on a student. His ego got him in trouble.

A student who just happened to be related to a very anti Knight professor...the kid knew what he was doing, so spare me the "poor kid" trope. I got paddled in elementary school...should I run to the internet?

@@myrmidon76 Bob Knight had a history of having temper problems. His bad behavior was tolerated because he was a winning coach. Finally, because of negative media coverage and student complaints the university put him on a Zero tolerance policy. A little while later Knight was walking in the hallway at school and some kid shouted out, “Hey Knight”. Bob felt disrespected and put his hands on the kid. Knight was unapologetic and the university fired him. He has only himself to blame.

@@user-ok9ue8gp6k this reads like a chatgpt created response...I'm not saying it is, but it's suspicious. I am very aware of what happened with Knight. I grew up in Bloomington. I lived there when he was fired...and there was a hell of a lot more to the scenario than just what was reported to news outlets. Thank you for the retelling, but it doesn't change the fact that the man is dead...and all this is for nothing but views.

@@myrmidon76 Nope, I have a good memory. He was a great BBall coach. He seemed to have a lot of integrity as far as players getting an education. I’m sure he had other good qualities as well, but he was also a bully and a hothead.
The man is legend in his own mind , plus he conveniently forget how many lawsuits he’s lost
He was a great coach.....problem he had was his philosophy was do as I say but don't do as I do
Joe Buck w seaman on his chin. His trademark. 😂
I actually agree with Coach Knight on this one.

You shouldn't.
Bobby Knight was a great coach but he was a bully. He felt the world revolved around him.
Simulation one of the best Xs and Os coaches, and a player bullier and abuser.
LET'S NEVER FORGET, HE SAID THAT IF A WOMAN IS BEING RAPED, SHE SHOULD JUST RELAX!!
That was the final straw. It was the totality of his bad behavior that got him fired. Years of horrible actions and words. If Indiana University did anything wrong, it was not firing him sooner.
Bob knight was a bully and ego maniac I’m a huge in fan but he was a total jerk

I'm not even a fan. Coach K had 300 more wins. That's not just better. That's better class, better character, a better coach and a better man.
He was a psycho with his players and referees. He was exactly like lou pinella in basketball.
Bobby Knight is a bully but in his mind he's never wrong.

I don't get people who still worship this guy. He wasn't George Patton, he wasn't even Herb Brooks. May he rest in peace of course. Larry Bird didn't want to play for him, and you can't say Larry didn't have a work ethic. I have had hard-ass coaches who drove you relentlessly but you knew they had hearts of gold an cared. Then I've had sadistic psychos who never felt comfortable getting out into the world beyond high-school and college. I think Knight just liked bossing kids around and with a lot of such cases he developed a cult of personality.
Knight diedon November 1. All the weirdos complaining about a dead man need to read more.

The Black Guy heroes channel is doing a special on the time George Floyd held a gun to a pregnant womans belly while he robbed her.
First stages of dementia here.
His attitude was so worst whenever he was coaching the indiana hoosiers in his career in college basketball.
That's some ego. The taxpayers of Indiana paid him millions for being a lackluster coach. Kid should have told him to, "Dance, monkey"

A lackluster coach who at one time had more all time wins than anyone else? Students should be referring to their teachers in such derogatory terms?

Just an angry bully.
