Bob Haro BMX Australia Simon Townsends Wonder World

Спорт

Master Bob kicking it old skool back in the day. If you want to see what modifications Bob did to his Torker to turn it into a Freestyle bike there is plenty of detail shown. Note that Bob has some very rare "Magnesium Alloy Wheels" on his Torker. Mongoose & Skyway may have teamed up to make these wheels , or Skyway may have poured some molten Mg Alloy into an original Graphite Tuff wheel mold & blacked the alloy to look like Graphite & riveted in the campy hubbed flanges......bullshit
I think Both the presenters & studio crew who edited Wonder World were all on drugs or on work experience from highschool to Channel 10 at the time , graphic overlays were often fuxored up or messed with for fun or ignorance.Technical details , information even the spelling of peoples names got messed around with all the time. Even when people spelled their names out to the assistant twice they still got it wrong on the show..Back in the late 1970's you didn't have to be Bob Haro to get interviewed on Wonder World
I managed to get interviewed by Maurice on Wonder World , when they did a piece about "The Girls of BMX" & was asked to comment about them. If I post the clip I will dub over the comment that aired & put in the first comment I made , rather than the lame second take that was aired....If anyone comments on this I have a clip of Jeff Bottema & Toby Henderson riding around Sydney's Botanical Gardens on their Team Raleigh BMX bikes , that I need to cut , edit etc so it can be uploaded.
I got all sorts of bits & pieces of BMX on Australian TV that I recorded all those years ago on a special VHS cassette that somehow managed to get transferred , backed up & saved onto all sorts of media , for preservation & memories of a life we lived to the fullest in it's very very early days...

That’s the best old school BMX video I’ve seen. Love the humour, timeless soundtrack, and throwing in plenty of mistakes. Props to Australia 👍
